Mine used to wax poetic about China, too. During his rants against indoor plumbing (I am not kidding), he would gush admiringly about how the Chinese would poo in a "litter box," then put it outside at night for "community pick up," which would then spread the "night litter" on the fields. His eyes would actually glaze over, like it was his vision of Utopia. Either that, or he was just stoned all the time.
I aced his class. My roommate's father just happened to be one of the school deans. I went to him and had a long conversation about this particular prof. He told me, "Just agree with everything he says. You don't even have to give the guy proof or do any research, just make him think that you think he's brilliant, or that the reading selections he has chosen are inspiring." We had to write a paper every week, so I treated it like a creative writing assignment. I wrote about the imaginary farm I lived on where we composted from our kitchen, grew imaginary organic vegetables, and recycled "gray water." Occasionally I would throw in a jab about an evil corporation or even better, a "sellout farmer." About once a month he would read from one of my papers out loud. It was an absolute joke. I went to class once a week (supposed to be 3x) and still got an A.
Part of me felt pretty slick because I had gotten away with the whole thing, but another part of me was pissed off because I had been forced to waste tuition money on that ridiculous class when I could have taken something worthwhile instead.
Sounds like a real nutcase to me. I fear we’ll see more of this. Thank God no one got killed except for that moron.
“2. All programs on Discovery Health-TLC must stop encouraging the birth of any more parasitic human infants and the false heroics behind those actions. In those programs’ places, programs encouraging human sterilization and infertility must be pushed. All former pro-birth programs must now push in the direction of stopping human birth, not encouraging it.”
DO YOU HEAR THIS DUGGER FAMILY?!??!?!!?!/sarcasm
A pro-abortion terrorist.
great work!!
Guess he never heard the advice "don't crap where you eat".
Disney did some educational films for third world countries to educate the locals not to crap in the cornfields when they had diarrhea. Does wonders to cut down on sickness.
Is it the new canihazcheeseburger?
It is in that context that at least some referred to him as a genius. He had the brilliance to see we are headed for “certain doom”.
I don’t see “Bring me a pizza and a two-liter Pepsi and release my second chakra!” on that list.
No, he was accepted at age SIXTEEN, he WAS (and probably still is) a genius. That is the context in which they referred to him as a genius. You just plain picked a bad example, there’s no media bias in referring to someone accepted to Harvard at 16 as a genius no matter what looney crap the guy did later.
On the other hand, let someone go cuckoo with a copy of a Beck book and the Washington Post has already decided how it will be reported: http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2010/06/14/AR2010061405423.html
