The New York metropolitan area is home to the largest number of Jews outside Israel. There are more Jews within the city limits of New York City than within the city limits of Jerusalem, making the New York City Jewish community the largest such community in the world after Tel Aviv.
I looked it up, because why would Islam choose NYC, a liberal area, as a target? Both the liberals and the Islamics have the same long term goal - dictatorial control over the U.S.

I was recalling the FReeper who insisted that there are 6 million Jews in NYC and “millions more” upstate as way to explain why he was obsesses with every report of a Jewish liberal.
