How about anyone who causes an accident from distracted driving (such as texting) is found liable, under the existing distracted driving laws?
Or perhaps active texting is an “impairment”.

We do here.....take looooots of time to write the ticket as well...
Money they have .....their time is what they can’t replace or afford.
I so wish they did that here. I have not once seen a cop stop someone here. Not once (excepting for speeding).
Hopefully it happens for your area and everywhere else as it will be a sad day when we need .....no using the CD player on Tuesdays if it’s cloudy and below 45 degrees while wearing blue socks laws ......:o)
Reckless endangerment / driving covers just about anything a person does operating a motor vehicle IMO. Peace Officers use it....Law Enforcement needs specifics it seems.
