Suddenly, it's becoming less of a stigma for bigwigs to associate with gays in the Republican Party. Not only has former RNC chairman Ken Mehlman's 9/22 fundraiser for gay marriage rights attracted numerous high-octane Republican donors and activists, but Sen. John Cornyn, the chairman of the National Republican Senatorial Committee, and Rep. Pete Sessions, the chairman of the National Republican Congressional Committee will help the Log Cabin Republicans, a gay GOP group, raise money for its political action committee.
A glossy pamphlet advertising the Log Cabin Republicans' national dinner at the Capitol Hill Club highlights an hour-long cocktail gathering with the two party committee chairs, both strong opponents of gay rights. But their attendance will add to the coffers of the LCR's political action committee, which endorses Republicans who support gay rights.
The LCR national dinner, which follows the private fundraiser, will include Sessions, Rep. Judy Biggert, Rep. Anh "Joseph" Cao, Rep. Ileana Ros-Lehtinen and Grover Norquist of Americans for Tax Reform. The Daily Caller's Tucker Carlson will serve as Master of Ceremonies.
The Log Cabin Republicans' Mission Statement proclaims fidelity to conservative principles like a "strong national defense" and "limited government" before it discusses marriage rights and an "inclusive definition of the family." But in practice, the group does not endorse candidates who oppose gay rights.

Now this is a Atlantic article.
I’m thinking they all attend the same “ruling class” orgies.
My tagline says it all.
Me too. Most people think that Independents are more ‘moderate’, but I think a great number of Independents are actually conservatives that left the GOP because of crap like this.
Stupid Party strikes again.
And they have their work cut out for them this election cycle. But damned if they aren't trying.
Sick sick sick
Will they also be attending any conservative bestiality groups? I mean as long as they agree with you on most of the issues...who are we to judge /s
notice how they do not include the names this time.
When this was written discussing Melman homosexuality and it mention whitman, liz cheny etc, it was all on the outs rinos.
This is the rinos looking for money trying to claw their way back into congress.
besides these homosexuals changed the name. “log” cabin republicans are dead, it is now GOProud for the new covert homosexual name.
Atlantic is playing search engine games by not including homoseuxal or “gay” in the title.
You are absolutely right. The independents actually outnumber both major parties now.
these are the expelled republicans or the no future politicians.
Think christine todd whitman. She wrote the “not my party book”
These are all leftist RINOs who are bending forward for homosexuals to donate money to them.
These people arn’t Republicans.
This makes me want to vomit. Cornyn is my senator, and he’s going to hear from me, and I’m sure, many other Texans.
Gotta ping this out too. Puke.
I wouldn't be surprised.
Yet ANOTHER reason I am NOT a “Republican.” Republicans are trying SO freaking hard NOT to win this election, despite everything going for them....It’s just STUNNING. RINO’s are TRULY stupid animals. GOD how I earnestly pray for actual elephants back....
Add me to that list alice. Between this kind of stuff that revolts, disgusts me, and the McCain types, I too went Independent. I didn’t leave the Republican party, they left me!
Fortunately we will be marginalizing these cocktail circuit Rinos like they marginalized the conservatives for years. Can’t wait till November.
I am really disappointed in Sessions. As to the rest, AND SESSIONS too, find out if they are up for re-election, and get a good solid conservative to oust them! I am sick and tired of these deviant politicians, especially when they tell us in their holier than thou way that they know better than we do. Obviously NOT.
