Just because your are ignorate of history doesn't mean the rest of us are.

I'd recommend using spell check the next time you call somebody ignorant, sparky. And my post graduate work in history excuses me from unfounded claims of being 'ignorate'.

History degree =/= drilling experience.

Yep, I misspell fairly often. I'm an Engineer and spell check usually makes me look less foolish. But only when I remember to use it.

So, have you learned anything about oil rig/platform fires yet? Still think they rarely happen?

post graduate work in history? Clearly not the history of the oil and gas industry.

Would not the hallmark of a good historian be research first, opine second?

The folks on this thread speaking from experience with the industry have the high ground in this discussion.
