House Democrats are touting their work during the August recess, claiming their members held 1,800 district events to promote their accomplishments and bash Republicans. The frenzied pace is a response to the growing sentiment among the political class that the Democrats’ majority is in danger this November. The party hopes to argue that the doomsday predictions in Washington do not reflect the reality across the country, where they say their candidates are gaining traction.

My congresscritter Mike McIntyre (NC) had “telephone townhalls” so he wouldn’t actually have to face his constituents....

So can we say that 1,800 ACORN (or whatever they are calling themselves these days) organizing Rah! Rah! meetings where held as planning for voter fraud moves forward at the most expeditious pace possible?

1800 'district events'.....

Umm, you mean those 'scripted phone calls'? The ones to voters who are either too downtrodden to get out and vote or the ones that were always going to vote for them? How about the town hall meetings to get independents to vote? Haven't heard much about them.

1800 'district events'.....

There are over 300 demonRATs so that's 6 events per RAT in August, hey that's 1.5 per week.

Fund raiser = event. OK, that's about right.

1,800 district events

read “photo ops where members can hand one of those giant cardboard checks out and get the picture into the local paper”

That’s funny! Our local rep hasn’t has a townhall in over 2 years. He does have phone ones where people who register through the DNC and after screened can listen but there are no questions allowed.I do not think that Zac Space has a chance of being re elected.
