Data privacy laws? I’d love to see what they cite for that, and love to hear what the school’s attorney would do in light of a lawsuit.

If it’s too private for a parent to see it, it’s darn well too private for the kids to see it.

Throw these bums out.

“Privacy laws” have been used for decades now as a pretext
for government secrecy, e.g. prisoners in the 1980s in
a NYS prison were initially refused access to the dates
of his own medical appointments because of “privacy concerns”
The most emergent, life-and-death instance is denying
contact with hospital patients who don’t go in with an
approved contact list.
