We just need to keep them accountable. No 'hunting down' required. With all the means we have to keep these types of hotheads in the public eye, it should be enough.

I'd settle for the victim getting some retirement means, the sheriff and deputy get FIRED, ineligible for any future law jobs, forbidden to carry a fire arm or taser.
