Hm I bet Reid had nothing to do with it.. riiight.
well
WTF are they going to do with it?
I guess that means she will not get their endorsement, haha
The law firm(s) involved should be disbarred
Democrat Dirty Tricks.
Expect a lot of them after the Primary’s.
Democrats can’t win on the merits of their policies or their records, so they have to resort to underhanded tactics like this, to try to destroy their opponents.
It’s the worst sort of ugly politics, and I hope the voters of Nevada see through it.
I think these are the same clowns suing everyone under the sun hoping they get a shakedown out of court settlement?
As I understand it, they wait until they find an infringement THEN they file with the copyright office. Their suits ought to be thrown out of court, or at least limited to cease and desist orders to the infringing parties.
There should be no money judgments ordered for this kind of blood-sucking-attorney shenanigans.
No, I believe you’re thinking of RightHaven.
In a year Righthaven LLC is going to bankrupt buried in court ordered legal expense reimbursement to others.
I hope the lawyers that operate this “company” are held personally accountable. They deserve to be financially destroyed.
Reid is ahead 50 to 47 in latest Rasmussen poll.
It is so stupid to nominate some one whom Reid will beat easily.
Sue Lowden would have beat Reid easily.
So now we get Reid for another 6 years.
OOOH, big mistake suing someone who could be writing the laws in a couple of months.
I wonder if any Reid aficionados work for that paper or the law firm?
Read the article. They’ve sued everyone, from the Dem Party of NV to Dem Underground to Free Republic.
Angle would have been fine if she had kept her dingbat mouth shut. Too late now though. We just have to hope she shuts up the rest of the way, and we can dive Reid back below 50%.
FR thread title - "Las Vegas Review-Journal Sues Disabled Vet (Free Republic)" http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/2556576/posts
-snip-
"According to the Las Vegas Sun, over 70 such lawsuits have been filed by Righthaven on behalf of the Las Vegas Review-Journal since the first of the year, many against small blogs or, like the Free Republic incident, against forums whose anonymous members have posted articles. "
-end snip-
They appear to be one and the same and suing FR too.
What are you doing to help get conservatives elected? ‘Cause whining won’t get it done.
So, in your mind, we’d be better off, ultimately, with winners like Sue Lowden, Trey Greyson, John McCain, etc.?
Sure, they might beat these Democrat scumbags more easily, but down the road, we could end up with climate change legisl00tion, amnesty, etc. Damned if you do, damned if you don’t.
“Reid is ahead 50 to 47 in latest Rasmussen poll.”
Is Reid running Ads every hour on radio and TV like Juan did here in AZ?
The law firm involved is part owner of the LVRJ.
Another question, under what law can you sue for a domain name?
From Gibsons law firm web site.
Mr. Gibson received his B.A. from the University of Louisville-Kentucky and his J.D. from ITT Chicago-Kent School of Law. He has been a member of the Nevada Development Authority and the Las Vegas Chamber of Commerce. He has published numerous articles and has spoken on trade secret, trademark and copyright issues across the country.
Sharron Angle should run one ad:
“Reid is not just your lousy senator, he’s obama’s hand maiden.”
Righthaven is working for the LVRJ and it’s headed by Steven A. Gibson, if my facts are correct. see my other post. I could be wrong, and if someone has better info, please correct.
“Reid is ahead 50 to 47 in latest Rasmussen poll. It is so stupid to nominate some one whom Reid will beat easily.”
Yeah, he’s THREE WHOLE POINTS ahead. A real cake walk, an easy win!
Seriously, that’s whack.
Way to declare defeat two months before the election. You sound just like a defeatist Mets fan.

Maybe we can’t have elections any more. An appallingly corrupt, biased and dishonest media. Massive fraud, involving large scale voting by illegals. The systematic disenfranchisement of Americans serving in the Armed Forces. But what will replace elections? How will the will of real Americans be expressed?
Basically one and the same. RightHaven was initially funded by the head of the LVRJ.
“Reid is ahead 50 to 47 in latest Rasmussen poll.
It is so stupid to nominate some one whom Reid will beat easily”
I just went to the Rasmussen website and they are listing the Angle/Reid race at 45/45. All I can figure with the garbage you are posting you must be from the RNC.
You are correct
Can someone start a Righthaven ping list? I’m awfully busy, but this seems a necessary deed as this story constantly evolves.
Incorrect, Rasmussen's poll from yesterday has it tied at 45% each.
This one ain't over yet.
“Yes, we would be better off with RINO’s than democrat senators. Why? Because you have to understand how the senate works. If 51 senators have “R” behind their name, then every committee chair is Republican. It is they who can push or hold up legislation. I will take 51 republicans including Rino’s anytime over 51 democrat senators. “
This needs to be pointed out time and time again. Some people just don’t get this concept. If the Senate majority is GOP, the dim agenda will never even make it to the floor for a vote. 51 R Sens (incl. Maine sisters, Grahmnesty, Juan Mac, Scott Brown) means 0’s agenda is over. Period.
Kinda makes me want to open up a D.U. account and start posting my little heart out. ;o)
All I can say is, Gibson’s crazy, because now they have the Republican AND Democrat parties jumping in to fight this guy. He is neaking fruts.
Troll.
What do you think? They will use it to post propaganda bout Sharron.
No we would not be better with RINOs than Democrats - because these same Republican leaders are the ones that pretty much primed the pumps for the current Dems to empty America’s future. We need to get our house in order, elect consistent conservatives and counter the indoctrination.
You are foolish if you think the majority of those GOP’ers who will take over those committee chairs will snap out of their beltway brainwashing. They’ll just go about business as usual, give lip service and hope the electorate calms down by the next election.
If we do not get the GOP steered correctly and they DO take power and screw it up by doing nothing (as they surely will) than that does it for conservatism for at least a generation.
For all the talk of failure - Obama has been a VERY successful president in getting almost everything he wanted accomplished in two years. Sure it will likely cost him his Congressional lapdog and reelection, but he has changed the game.
We need our own game-changers and Castle, McConnell, Alexander, Ensign and Cornyn, etc. are status quo candidates.
Little-known fact:
More people have gotten hit with R-J copyright infringement lawsuits than used to get AOL sign-up CD-ROM disks in the 1990s.
Did I miss something. I thought the election was in November.
What you have done is what I call the “safety of the negative”. You look back and say what we should have done, you look to the present and say the situation is hopeless, and you predict a dismal future.
If you are right about the future you say, “I told you so.”
If you are wrong, you say, “I was wrong, isn’t that great?”
I think it is best just to ignore you.
