The Las Vegas Review-Journal’s copyright infringement lawsuit partner on Friday sued U.S. Senate candidate Sharron Angle over R-J material posted on her website, allegedly without authorization.

What's the deal with this R-J and their lawsuits? They sound like they desperately need a visit from the Orkin Man, with all hands present in a sealed office.

Democrats can’t win on the merits of their policies or their records, so they have to resort to underhanded tactics like this, to try to destroy their opponents.

It’s the worst sort of ugly politics, and I hope the voters of Nevada see through it.

As I understand it, they wait until they find an infringement THEN they file with the copyright office. Their suits ought to be thrown out of court, or at least limited to cease and desist orders to the infringing parties.

There should be no money judgments ordered for this kind of blood-sucking-attorney shenanigans.

I hope the lawyers that operate this “company” are held personally accountable. They deserve to be financially destroyed.

Reid is ahead 50 to 47 in latest Rasmussen poll.

It is so stupid to nominate some one whom Reid will beat easily.

Sue Lowden would have beat Reid easily.

So now we get Reid for another 6 years.

Angle would have been fine if she had kept her dingbat mouth shut. Too late now though. We just have to hope she shuts up the rest of the way, and we can dive Reid back below 50%.

I took a look around and as I recall...

FR thread title - "Las Vegas Review-Journal Sues Disabled Vet (Free Republic)" http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/2556576/posts

-snip-

"According to the Las Vegas Sun, over 70 such lawsuits have been filed by Righthaven on behalf of the Las Vegas Review-Journal since the first of the year, many against small blogs or, like the Free Republic incident, against forums whose anonymous members have posted articles. "

-end snip-

They appear to be one and the same and suing FR too.

So, in your mind, we’d be better off, ultimately, with winners like Sue Lowden, Trey Greyson, John McCain, etc.?

Sure, they might beat these Democrat scumbags more easily, but down the road, we could end up with climate change legisl00tion, amnesty, etc. Damned if you do, damned if you don’t.

Reid and Steven A. Gibson are both of the Nevada Development Authority, which Reid is on the Board of Trustees. NO, there's no connection... /s

From Gibsons law firm web site.

Mr. Gibson received his B.A. from the University of Louisville-Kentucky and his J.D. from ITT Chicago-Kent School of Law. He has been a member of the Nevada Development Authority and the Las Vegas Chamber of Commerce. He has published numerous articles and has spoken on trade secret, trademark and copyright issues across the country.

Maybe we can’t have elections any more. An appallingly corrupt, biased and dishonest media. Massive fraud, involving large scale voting by illegals. The systematic disenfranchisement of Americans serving in the Armed Forces. But what will replace elections? How will the will of real Americans be expressed?

Yes, we would be better off with RINO's than democrat senators. Why? Because you have to understand how the senate works. If 51 senators have "R" behind their name, then every committee chair is Republican. It is they who can push or hold up legislation. I will take 51 republicans including Rino's anytime over 51 democrat senators.

This needs to be pointed out time and time again. Some people just don’t get this concept. If the Senate majority is GOP, the dim agenda will never even make it to the floor for a vote. 51 R Sens (incl. Maine sisters, Grahmnesty, Juan Mac, Scott Brown) means 0’s agenda is over. Period.

No we would not be better with RINOs than Democrats - because these same Republican leaders are the ones that pretty much primed the pumps for the current Dems to empty America’s future. We need to get our house in order, elect consistent conservatives and counter the indoctrination.

You are foolish if you think the majority of those GOP’ers who will take over those committee chairs will snap out of their beltway brainwashing. They’ll just go about business as usual, give lip service and hope the electorate calms down by the next election.

If we do not get the GOP steered correctly and they DO take power and screw it up by doing nothing (as they surely will) than that does it for conservatism for at least a generation.

For all the talk of failure - Obama has been a VERY successful president in getting almost everything he wanted accomplished in two years. Sure it will likely cost him his Congressional lapdog and reelection, but he has changed the game.

We need our own game-changers and Castle, McConnell, Alexander, Ensign and Cornyn, etc. are status quo candidates.

Did I miss something. I thought the election was in November.

What you have done is what I call the “safety of the negative”. You look back and say what we should have done, you look to the present and say the situation is hopeless, and you predict a dismal future.

If you are right about the future you say, “I told you so.”
If you are wrong, you say, “I was wrong, isn’t that great?”

I think it is best just to ignore you.
