Personally I vote the candidate, not the color or sex. However, my sense is the country will see the next black democrat president the fifth of never.

Nobama has definitely poisoned the well.
Two effects, after all the negativity resulting from his reach exceeding his grasp, other leftist, scammer, muslim sympathizer, afro politicians will be very hesitant to jump into the game (at least any that have half a chance). Any black politician who is conservative will find it an overwhelmingly rugged mountain to climb proving their conservatism.

Current black voter generation will blame Crackers to a large extent, but heap blame on the democrats as well for not supporting nobama more, which could result in their reconsidering ties to dems. Some will actually realize that black has nothing to do with it, character does and could drift over to GOP. Many black voters may just drop out in frustration.

Another potential effect could be some of the splinter groups making up the democratic party will move away from the dems or temporarily soften their demands and rhetoric, looking to the future, in hopes of re-fooling the slightly right of center electorate.
