McCain wants Obama to visit border (McCain admits U.S. has failed to secure border with Mexico)

If President Barack Obama made time to travel to southern Arizona, he'd realize the urgency of securing America's border, Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.) said Sunday.

"I'd love for the president to come and visit the border, unfortunately he hasn't seemed to have time to do so," McCain said on "Fox News Sunday." "If anybody hasn't seen what's happening south of our border, they have been oblivious to the terrible, terrible struggle that's down there."

"We've got to get our border secured," the senator declared.

The senator slammed the lawsuit as another example of the disconnect between the beltway and everyday Americans who live along the nation's border.

"For the federal government to sue the state of Arizona because the federal govt hasn't carried out it's responsibility and the state of Arizona is trying to get its border secure, is really remarkable," McCain said.

"But the fact is, we don't have a secure border...the federal govt hasn't carried out it's responsibility..."

And whose fault is that, McRINO?

"In the long term, if you alienate the Hispanics,
you’ll pay a heavy price. By the way,
I think the fence is least effective.
But I’ll build the G****mned fence if they want it!"

U.S. SEN. JOHN MCCAIN, FEB. 2007

Obama won’t come within 200 miles of the border. Not safe. He might send Clinton of Biden, though.

And how many years, or decades, did it take you to see what's going on there, Juan? Do you think it just started when JD challenged you in the primary? The shameless hypocrisy of this lying weasel has no bounds.

"Remarkable". One fears McCain means "admirable" deep down.

That RINO is an embarrassment. He’s a political amoeba, a flip flopping liar willing to say anything, promise anything to anyone to get elected.

NOTHING he says matters because he’s unprincipled and will go back on his word as soon as it’s politically opportunistic for him.

Hey, Rabs, on another thread you said Arizonans should vote for the Libertarian Nolan, who is against the border fence.

You're a rank third-party hypocrite and no thinking conservative should take you seriously.

“wonder what johnny has been doing in the u.s. senate all these years?”

Other than pushing amnesty, badgering ball players about dope and pushing prescriptions for vitamins and pushing Tarp...

NOT MUCH!

He didn’t earn the title of MOST ABSENT SENATOR FOR NOTHING.
61% absentee rate for McCain!
Given that McCain has spent the last ten years running for president, with more time in Iowa & N.H. than Arizona, I thought it would be interesting to see just how often ‘the maverick’ bothers to show up for Senate votes.

Well, guess what, as bad as Obama was, McCain was even worse.

[snip]Sen. John McCain (AZ) — the only current Republican presidential candidate who is a sitting U.S. senator — has missed more votes than any other senator since Congress convened in January, with the exception of Sen. Tim Johnson (D-SD), who spent months recuperating from a brain hemorrhage. According to washingtonpost.com’s U.S. Congress Votes Database, Obama has missed 74 out of 93 roll-call votes (79.6%) since the end of the August congressional recess.

McCain has missed 63 out of 93 roll-call votes (67.8%) since the end of the August congressional recess. But for the entire year, McCain has missed 79 more votes than Obama; since January, McCain has missed 212 out of 403 (52.6%) roll-call votes in the 110th Congress, while Obama has missed 133 out of 403 (33.0%) roll-call votes.

see it here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5eiUNzrpxBo

— June 29, 2008 — Sen. John McCain (R-AZ) became the most absent member of the Senate. According to the Washington Post’s votes database, McCain has “missed 367 votes (61.4%) during the current Congress.” In fact, CQ reports today that McCain hasn’t voted in the Senate since April 8. This is very transparent public posturing. Even if Jaun believed in secure borders, which he doesn’t, his comments are ludicrous.

Obama doesn’t have to physically come to the border any more than I do, to know what the situation is. He knows and he wants it that way. Juan knows that, too.

If McCain really believed in this, he would be accusing Obama of deliberately sabotaging US sovereignty and security. Which is true and McTraitor knows it (and agrees with it).

I also said, on that very same thread,

"...it's about getting rid of RINO/CINO trash. And to that end, Arizona conservatives should vote for anyone they please (or not at all), so long as they don't vote for McCain!"

Hmm - let's say what Rab's choice Nolan thinks about the border fence:

http://www.nolan2010.org/security.html

We need a sane and humane plan to keep America safe while allowing honest people to enter our country. The idea of building a “Berlin Wall” along our borders is repugnant.

Berlin Wall? That sounds like something right out of a Democrat's mouth. Yet you bash McCain when he has become a proponent for building the wall.

Yeah, you want Arizonans to vote for a guy who compares the border fence to the Berlin Wall. Like I said, you are a rank hypocrite and a third-party weasel.

If McCain survives, he will immediately return to using the phrase "We are all gods children" when referring to illegals.

Amnesty will proceed at full speed.

And here is what Nolan says about the Iraq and Afghanistan.

Our government's bipartisan policy of empire building has earned us immense hatred around the globe

Once again, he sounds like a Dem - or your hero Ron Paul.
