Between cynicism and hypocrisy lies the 2,000-mile U.S.- Mexico border. America is raising a wall in the desert to separate Mexican drug exporters from American drug consumers, to separate Latin American peasants who will work for low wages from the Americans who would hire them.

Read the "Weathermens" script online. It is Americas fault, every corrupt and misplaced thing is because of the good ol' USA.

As a flame repellent, I add that this is not my opinion, but the framework for those that hate America. Read "You don't need a Weatherman to see which way the wind blows"....if you can get past the adolescent nonsense to see the hatred for the US and Israel. It is all there, and at its very root.

BUILD THE WALL—Make it 30 feet tall with guard towers, mines and machine guns. No one gets over it! Put cannons on the border to respond if Mexicans shot at our people over the wall. No one gets over alive—in or out of the USA. Just wait til a nuke comes over the border and takes out a city or two.

“This will blow up in their faces. It has not escaped the attention of U.S. citizens that on 9-11 there were people in the streets of Mexico City celebrating that attack in New York City.”

Yes, after the first World Trade Center attack a Mexican colleague I was working with at the time commented that it was great that America was getting a taste of its own medicine. He was born in Tijuana, the son of a professional there. At the time he made that comment he was receiving a significant amount of research grant funding from the US government, specifically earmarked for minority applicants. Instead of being grateful for the opportunity, he was trashing the US.

“to separate Latin American peasants who will work for low wages from the Americans who would hire them. “

I wish the LA Times would hire some of these peasants! They don’t have the education to spin the news to the point of being unrelated to the events.

Some honest reporting with out having to pay bloated wages, or deal with inflated egos; could just save the paper.

That’s what I mean: your coworker was getting financial aid and his response is — anger?! That is sick.

There is a great deal of hateful propaganda generated against the U.S.A. Does that mean we stop helping Mexico, or Lebanaon, or Pakistan during a catastrophe? No, of course not. We cannot allow their hate and anger at their situation in life, and their pathetic need to blame it on someone else, to stop us from being ourselves.

Heck, what they showed in Arizona is still better than most of the border between Mexico and NEW Mexico.

To be expected though, because Our Illustrious Governor, Richardson fully welcomes his illegal brethren from Mexico and gives them drivers licenses and registers them to vote.
