He doesn’t want to see his troops put in unnecessary danger. It’s pretty rational.

His troops are in danger regardless of wether the Korans are burned or even if this church held a “Lets Celebrate Islam Day’’ parade. Obama went on his “America Apology Tour’’ to Cairo and it didn’t placate the Saracens one bit. Burn the filthy books already. At least someone has the guts to start paying this animals back in their own coin.

“He doesn’t want to see his troops put in unnecessary danger. It’s pretty rational.”

There are a lot more things the General can do to increase the safety of troops in theater than worrying about what a Florida church is doing with copies of the Koran.

General Staff should refrain from attempting to control things on the home front and focus on killing the enemy - the fact that the General is constrained in ways that he can kill the enemy is something he needs to discuss with the Commander-in-Chief - but it is his responsibility to do so, not to attempt to pressure a Florida Church to do/not do anything in particular.

If he thinks he is unable to control the situation on the battlefield then he should make it clear as well.

I think the poster was asking for “rationalizing” the dumb move by this Church. It seems like a pathetic stunt to gain some name recognition.

So, was Patton wrong to say bad things about the Nazis, thus putting “his troops in unnecessary danger”? What wimpy thinking.

LOL! Good thing we didn’t think like that in WWII

We would be speaking Japanese right now.

B$, if he had mentioned how they do it and that we are better than that, maybe.

LOL!

So to avoid pissing them off, the muzzies should be allowed to build their mosque at ground zero? We don't want to make them angry right?

The General ought to do his job and shut his mouth.
