Nevada Republican Senate candidate Sharron Angle just might be the Tea Party's biggest gamble yet.

A staunch conservative with a history of making bold and sometimes controversial comments, Angle insists her comments have been taken out of context in her campaign to oust Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid in upcoming midterm congressional elections.

"I'll be a mainstream senator," said Angle.

“I’ll be a mainstream senator,” said Angle.

If she does what she has said she favors doing, she’ll be mainstream in my book.

Go, Sharron.

Getting rid of the Dept. of Education is mainstream.

I’ll assume she’ll be mainstream for the US, not mainstream for the elitists in the US Senate who are hell-bent on destroying the nation.

Getting rid of the Dept. of Education is mainstream.

It's the Constitutional thing to do.

She really needs to make a case for herself instead of against Reid. Most people have known how crook her opponent is, but they don’t know much about her. Reid’s ads defining her as ‘extreme’ have been quite successful, so she needs to counter them. Most ads she ran so far only criticizing Reid, but not a positive, uplifting, ad that would make people feel good about voting for her. The ones that are not criticizing Reid have her lecturing a bunch of people who don’t seem too much convinced.

So far the only one who has used the term RINO is you.

That’s a fair enough statement. Conservative values are usually mainstream values.

I don’t see a gamble. Anyone in Reid’s place is an improvement

Very true. RINOs are the ones who are out of step with the mainstream.

Replacing Reid would be a significant psychological victory. A real knife in the heart of the Dems.

Taking out the Senate Majority leader would be pretty demoralizing for their side.

People all over America hope this comes to be! So many states being watched from afar, I can’t help but be filled with excitement. While I have big hopes nationally, I can’t help but hope that CT becomes competitive too...
