President Obama may be sinking in the polls, looking at big midterm losses in both the House and Senate, and “fiddling while Rome burns” but he hasn’t lost his thrilling touch where Chris Matthews is concerned.
On Hardball tonight, following a clip of Obama speaking at a campaign stop in 2008 about his working class upbringing and hope, Matthews had this to say:
“You know, I get the same thrill up my leg, all over me, every time I hear those words. I’m sorry, ladies and gentlemen, that’s me.”

I’ve seen Chrissy in several debates where he just doesn’t seem to get it.
I’m not talking about political sides. I’m talking about when a guest is explaining some technical point and Matthews just doesn’t seem to understand.
Everytime I watch an Obama speech, I wonder how any thinking person can fall for it. He’s so obviously a selfish elitist. It’s in every phrase. I’m just confused by the hold he seems to have. I’ve heard libs that are much better speakers. For instance, Jesse Jackson Jr -liberal as they come, but he is an excellent speaker.
Obama, when examined by intelligent people, falls so short.
My thought is Chrissy is not too smart, and probably less smart than many Freepers.

Matthews’ wife is a local TV anchor and they have three children (probably young adults).
Imagine if this idiot was your husband or father and you had to watch this lunatic make a fool of himself on national TV every night.
