The government better leave that preacher alone if you can burn the flag you can damned well burn the koran.Keep an eye on this. This may well be the tipping point. If the governement pulls a Waco, then it's Revolution II.

...Crowley equated the protest burning of the Koran to the gruesome, fiery deaths of thousands of innocents at the hands of Muslim terrorists...
This guy is out of his freakin' mind if he can equate the two events!
I will go out on a limb and prognosticate that nobody is going to die at the burning.

Oh, my goodness, this country was founded on, among some other things, Catholic missionaries venturing into the wilderness of what is now Indiana and finding themselves roasting over an open fire with their ears, noses, toes and fingers snipped off.
In the end the savages were pushed back and that sort of thing stopped ~ and then someone thought we ought to import some more of it from the Middle East.
The Bishop insults the missionaries; he insults Catholics; and he insults those of us who are not Catholics but remember that it wasn't all sweetness and light ~ and it may well not be that way in the future if you start kowtowing to these people.

I agree. It is scary how Bambi and his clan have stirred up the regular people. It is almost as shocking as the 911 in its own way, surreal.

Sorry Hildabeast, but the persecution has been going on AGAINST Christians and Jews.
This particular religion has them targeted for death and slavery.
It's time to push back ~ long overdue in fact ~ and the fact you are on the wrong side means you will not be America's first, or even second, female President.

It’s a 50 person church but with the trash talk going on they might have a lot of visitors. They should have a BBQ dinner on the grounds.

Whiskey Tango Foxtrot?!
Yeah, bonehead, exactly the same as 9/11.
Well, except for the complete destruction of the WTC and 3000 innocent dead people, yeah, I can see the analogy.

If I can’t find a Koran I’m going to burn some other book and say it is a Koran. This is surreal, a bad science fiction reality, I can’t believe it.

Same as 9-11 except for the airplanes, ...and the deaths of thousands of people..... He's waaaaay off base. Did he object to the P!@@ on Christ exhibit with the same ferver?

Here's
the whole quote...
The congratulatory address...
Deprived as we heretofore have been of the invaluable rights of free citizens, we now (with a deep sense of gratitude to the Almighty disposer of all events) behold a government erected by the Majesty of the People--a Government which to bigotry gives no sanction, to persecution no assistance, but generously affording to All liberty of conscience and immunities of Citizenship, deeming every one, of whatever Nation, tongue, or language, equal parts of the great governmental machine.
The response...
It is now no more that toleration is spoken of as if it was the indulgence of one class of people that another enjoyed the exercise of their inherent natural rights. For happily, the government of the United States, which gives to bigotry no sanction, to persecution no assistance, requires only that they who live under its protection should demean themselves as good citizens, in giving it on all occasions their effectual support.
Seems that apples still aren't oranges and context is everything.

... then why should he worry about silly little things like Free Speech and Freedom of Religion? You forgot to mention the Rule of Law (specifically going after Sheriff Joe and reporting Arizona to the UN for human rights issues), all these items contemptible and justifiable by Obama (Chicago) standards.
