Delaware’s O’Donnell: ‘Stop Thug Politics’ (NRSC protecting the establishment again)

Republican brass in Washington and Delaware are doing all they can to tarnish Christine O’Donnell, who is taking on Rep. Mike Castle in the GOP primary for the Senate seat in Delaware.

The GOP establishment has been shipping out reams of opposition research and links to negative news stories. A longtime political consultant in the state, O’Donnell was the party’s own candidate against former Sen. Joe Biden two years ago. But that hasn’t stopped the state’s party apparatus from working to slam her this time around.

Why can’t the NRSC just shut the f up?
Completely inexcusable.

Why give them 51? They haven’t learned their lesson.
We need DeMint, not McConnell. We need conservatives.

The National Republican Senatorial Committee are showing themselves to be criminals, working against the will of the people they pretend to serve!

Do not forget this assault on voter choice by The National Republican Senatorial Committee! Isn’t this RINO Cornyn’s baby?

Because that would not be in their criminal interests, pure and simple.

They have sent three paid staff organizers to Delaware to work for Castle and The ‘White Witch’ Baroness Rollins (Name is that of her World Class 600 Acre Golf course on her 7,000 acre resort in Jamaica)

Anyway, staffers are to work during the primary against Christine, Urquhart and Izzo. Then during the General, they will work against Dems. Never will one cent of my money go to the State or National Republican Parties again - I’ll do the distributing to people like Christine and organizations like the Tea Party Express!

We have language rules here, so I’m having a really hard time expressing myself.

VERY
VERY
BAD.

THE MOST BAD.

I hope this fact will shut up anyone left here who has anything negative to say about Christine.

I’d like to hear more about these people. What are their names? Who was the person from the NRSC who was spreading dirt on Christine?

DelaWhere -- what are you seeing on the ground? I find it hard to believe that they would be going this negative unless they were seeing some really bad internal polling numbers.

I sent a nasty-gram to the RNC when lawyers were sent up to Alaska to “help” Murkowski against Miller.

I got an almost immediate response, telling me “they” didn’t send lawyers and to contact the

www.nrsc.org

There is no e-mail address to contact them through their website.

Aren’t the RNC RESPONSIBLE for some of what the NRSC does? They need to catch hell for this crap.

Nelson Rockefeller according to Stuart Spencer (Rockefeller's public relations head) said, "We had to destroy Barry Goldwater as a member of the human race."

Mainline Republicans have to destroy Christine O’Donnell as a member of the human race?

Been there, remember that.

NO
MORE
RINOS

We don’t need another Snowe or another Collins.

Life will be ok if we don’t have to worry about them.

We want to present an image to the voters that’s appealing in some way.

Republicans - We Suck But A Tiny Bit Less Than Democrats

is not going to win us votes.

Castle is old and decrepit. He’s been in office since before Christine was born. We don’t want him as the Senator. And if it means the NRSC loses the seat, that’s fine. Maybe they’ll learn a lesson.

AWAY
WITH
RINOS

Not in the least. They are completely separate operations.

In this case, unlike Alaska, no member of the NRSC is on the ballot.

What the NRSC is doing is unacceptable.

Period.

It was bad enough when the Delaware GOP did it.

At least the argument then was “don’t make the National Party pay for the sins of the Delaware GOP”

Now, its the National Party doing it.

NO
MORE
RINOS

And, it’s looking like Sarah Palin could be getting ready to step in.

Here’s her twitter
http://twitter.com/sarahpalinusa
HeyTammyBruce

@marklevinshow Thank you so much for that RT ;) It is appreciated! @ChristineOD is great, her election must a major focus for us all about 6 hours ago via web Retweeted by SarahPalinUSA and 25 others

There are 2 Tea Party Express rallies planned. Could Sarah be planning an appearance / endorsement?

Then it would be Sarah Palin beats the National GOP if O’Donnell beats Castle.

That’d be sweet.

GO
AWAY
RINOS

And the reason why there aren’t more conservatives winning in Delaware is that the Delaware GOP sucks so bad. They’re letting a Biden run unopposed and attacking a Conservative so harshly.

(Wrong in the Murkowski instance as Miller is clearly an electable candidate in conservative Alaska).

Whether or not he was electable wasn't the issue - the issue was the fact Murkowski is and was a sitting member of the NRSC. The NRSC can't be expected to oppose itself or not assist its own members.

In this case with Delaware, while your argument as far as electability has merit, there is no sitting member of the NRSC on the ballot in this election where they are interfering.

Castle=Coons.....

you can choose between someone who will vote to repeal healthcare.....and Castle/Coons who won’t

you can choose between someone who will vote against Cap and Trade...and Castle/Coons who won’t

you can choose between someone who will against the Disclose Act...and Castle/Coons who won’t

why anybody would vote for someone who doesn’t come close to representing their interests in beyond me...Castle is a Liberal with a capital L, and those who are supporting him are on the wrong forum.

It should be noted that even if Castle is looey to the max, a numerical Senate majority of Republicans means that EVERY committee in the Senate is chaired by a Republican.

You cheer on the probable loss of a winnable seat that can provide the senate majority, but its everybody else who is a RINO. yeah right.

I never paid any attention to the Delaware race until the last few days, but the o’Donnell crowd as measured by FR certainly gives me pause on the candidate.

What good are principles if we are willing to compromise them in favor of winning? Compromising on principles is what got this country where it is today.

The certainty of O’donnell’s ‘unelectability’ seems to rest on the fact that the local and establishment are opposing her. Wonder how she would fare in the polls if they were backing her? At best they are making a circular, self-fulfilling argument. I for one am fed up with these GOP jerks, and they can go to hell with Reid and Pelosi.

Notice that this pretty well coincides with the negative attack campaign!

Wilmington News Journal(Fish wrapper/bird cage liner)
By GInger Gibson • The News Journal • August 13, 2010

Little Delaware is playing a big role in the Republican Party’s nationwide effort to win back Congress.

The national party on Thursday demonstrated its willingness to pour money into the state’s Republican candidates campaigns, announcing that it would provide three staffers responsible for outreach efforts and voter turnout drives.

Calling the bulked-up staffing “unprecedented” in Delaware, Republicans are hopeful that additional support will augment their chances in November in a year many expect to bring big wins for the party.

Republicans already are eyeing a victory they think will be led by strong candidates on the top of the ballot, particularly U.S. Rep. Mike Castle’s bid for the U.S. Senate seat formerly held by Vice President Joe Biden, a Democrat.

The new staffers will also work to ensure primary victories for Castle and Michele Rollins, Republicans endorsed by the party.

By pushing more people to the polls, Republicans are hopeful the support will trickle down the ballot and provide big victories in the Legislature, where a fight is brewing for majority control and a say in redistricting.

Delaware has joined such states as Kentucky, Nevada, Arkansas, Florida and Illinois as targets for the Republican push.

“This is our year,” state Republican Chairman Tom Ross said in a statement. “This program is unprecedented in its ability to target voters and spread the message about our candidates and how to get involved.”

http://www.delmarvanow.com/article/20100813/NEWS01/100813006/DELAWARE-POLITICS-GOP-sends-staffers-to-aid-Delaware-races

A question: If Christine and Urquhart win, will they work as diligently for them?

Although you are wrong, the term RINO has been used by so many different people for so many different reasons that it’s become meaningless.

Apparently, some think that Republicans are supposed to be Liberal. When someone disagrees, they’re RINOs. If someone objects to the National GOP getting involved in a primary where a Conservative is running against a Liberal, and the GOP is on the side of the Liberal, it is the National GOP organization that is in the right and it is the person who objects who is the RINO. I disagree with that take on it. We typically use the term RINO to describe someone who votes with the Democrats more than the Republicans. Castle fits that definition of RINO.

The NRSC is helping RINOs and hurting Conservatives. Yes, it can make one’s head explode with the logical inconsistencies.
