I was shocked to read today that our Military burned bibles that the Muslims insisted be removed from our troops in their countries. Seems like our Military would have at least put them into a container and taken them somewhere else.

Those bibles weren’t burned as a protest to Christianity, and I think the Florida guy’s burning of the Koran is not a generic protest to Islam, but rather is a provocation and a counterbalance to the Muslim’s offensive campaign to put a Mosque at the 911 site.

The FR poster is correct that Christianity is scorned by many vocal public figures in America. Someone should burn some bibles just to see what outrage it generated.

This guy is doing a publicity stunt because he’s in financial straits, nothing more. He does not care what the consequences are for our troops and diplomats and their families. The media is playing along, hoping to tie him in to the Bush, GOP, Tea Party or some right wing org in some way shape or form. This guy is hoping for some cash infusion to his coffers from like minded people. This is not a Christian act. It is a self-serving, self-righteous act of petulance and demagoguery of the worst kind..........
