Tehran Says Israel Behind Koran-Burning Plan (and Bush's Fault)
DPA via Earthtimes ^ | Thursday, September 9, 2010

Posted on 09/09/2010 9:07:10 AM PDT by kristinn

Tehran on Thursday said that Israel was behind the plan by a United States pastor to burn copies of the Koran on the ninth anniversary of the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks, the official news agency IRNA reported.

"The software for this plan was made by the Zionists (Israel) following their defeats against Muslims and the Islamic world," Iranian Foreign Minister Manouchehr Mottaki said in a meeting with foreign diplomats in Tehran.

SNIP

Mottaki also blamed former US President George W Bush, saying Bush's religious rhetoric after the September 11 attacks led to Islamophobia in the US.

SNIP

Ayatollah Safi Golpaygani, one of the senior clergy figures in Iran, had on Wednesday harshly condemned the Koran-burning plan and called on the US administration to arrest Terry Jones.

He further warned that if such a "gruesome and inhuman act" took place, Muslims would hold the administration of President Barack Obama responsible.

I’m thinking either Adobe or EA.

Maybe *that* is why Duke Nukem Forever is taking so long.

Israel is pretty good if they found this little church in rural Gainesville and convinced the pastor to burn korans. LOL

And the holocaust didn’t happen.

I have lost what little respect I had for Islam, but if these idiots actually believe what their Imams tell them - we’d better get used to the fact that sooner or later we’re going to have to have it out.

Completely out.

As in - wipe them out.

Even if NO koran is burned this Saturday, it’s probably too late and is already a done deal in their minds. Up to now, the non-event has been given way too much publicity. The fun may start next, or even this, Friday after services.

Interpol just warned of terror attacks if this preacher goes through with this Koran burning. Good grief..the whole world is going crazy over one preacher with 50 followers. Something doesn’t add up here.

I am starting to believe this whole thing is being set up as the scapegoat if a terror attack happens on our shores in the coming weeks. They know something we don’t. Likely that an attack has already been planned long ago and will be carried out soon. Add this to the Taliban announcing today that ‘soon they will have victory’ and we might just have the Obama ‘October Surprise’. A terror attack on US shores that they will blame on conservatives and christians. Obama will then have the power to stop the elections and then use the incident to destroy our chances to win back Congress. Far fetched tin foil stuff perhaps...but not beyond the realm of possibility given the evil of Obama and his ruling class thugs.

Pray for our country.

If you REALLY want to see them lose their minds, draw a cartoon.

In fact, a cartoon of somebody burning a quran might make them madder than the actual burning of the book.

You are right that anti-semitism--at least in its anti-Israel form--is more the province of the Left. But there are many flavors of supersessionism and I would expect the 'Dove' folks to be on the fringe. Perhaps even as far out as the Identity folks.

Unfortunately I can't research that because their servers have been shut down, reportedly for violating their ISP's 'hate-speech' rules. While I loathe the position that Dove has taken, I am even more concerned about 'hate-speech' rules. That is a very slippery slope.

It’s amazing how much time BHO devoted to the subject.

http://blogs.abcnews.com/george/2010/09/president-obama-to-pastor-jones-stunt-endangers-troops-full-transcript-of-exclusive-interview.html

STEPHANOPOULOS: Let me ask you about Pastor Terry Jones. He gave a press conference today. Says he’s going to go through with burning the Korans. Is there anything you can say to him to convince him not to?

OBAMA: If he’s listening, I just hope he understands that what he’s proposing to do is completely contrary to our values of Americans. That this country has been built on the notions of religious freedom and religious tolerance. And as a very practical matter, as commander of chief of the Armed Forces of the United States I just want him to understand that this stunt that he is talking about pulling could greatly endanger our young men and women in uniform who are in Iraq, who are in Afghanistan. We’re already seeing protests against Americans just by the mere threat —

STEPHANOPOULOS: What more could happen?

OBAMA: —that he’s making.

STEPHANOPOULOS: What are you worried about?

OBAMA: Well, look, the … this is a recruitment bonanza for Al Qaeda. You know, you could have serious violence in places like Pakistan or Afghanistan. This could increase the recruitment of individuals who’d be willing to blow themselves up in American cities, or European cities. You know and so you know, I just hope that, he says he’s … he’s someone who s motivated by his faith.

STEPHANOPOULOS:And he says he’s praying on it.

OBAMA:Yeah. I hope he listens to…those better angels.

STEPHANOPOULOS:Well, let me—

OBAMA:And understands that this is a destructive act that he’s engaging in.

STEPHANOPOULOS:I wonder what this must feel like from behind your desk. You’re President of the United States. You have to deal with the fallout. And he’s a pastor who’s got 30 followers in his church. Does it make you feel helpless or angry?

OBAMA: It, well it is frustrating. Now, on the other hand, we are a government of laws. And so, we have to abide by those laws. And my understanding is that he can be cited for public burning. But that’s the extent of the laws that we have available to us. You know, part of this country’s history is people doing destructive or offensive or harmful things. And yet, we still have to make sure that we’re following the laws. And that’s part of what I love about this country.

What is interesting about this koran burning issue is the fact that it isn’t an issue if it involves Bibles. There is a U.S. soldier in Afghanistan whose family shipped him boxes of Bibles to give to muslims. The U.S. army confiscated the Bibles and burned them. Have you heard this on the news? Only El Rushbo talked about it.

"The software for this plan was made by the Zionists (Israel) following their defeats against Muslims and the Islamic world," Iranian Foreign Minister Manouchehr Mottaki said in a meeting with foreign diplomats in Tehran.

I'd be interested in what type of software it would take to cause this character to burn Korans.  LOL

And their reference to Israel's defeats.  Whew, over active minds to the X.

I get a real kick out of embarrassingly bad Islamic propaganda.
