Appeals Court Suspends Judge's Ban on Stem Cell Research Funding

A U.S. Appeals court on Thursday temporarily lifted a judge's ban on federal funding of human embryonic stem cell research until it rules on the merits of the Obama administration's argument against the ban.

U.S. District Judge Royce Lamberth ruled last month that embryonic stem cell research violated federal law because it involved destroying human embryos. The Obama administration claimed that the ban would set back key research and cost more than a thousand jobs -- an argument that Lamberth rejected on Tuesday -- but the U.S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit agreed Tuesday to lift the ban while the case is appealed.

The court ordered that briefs be filed by Sept. 20, when the three-judge panel will decide whether to extend or end the temporary stay.

Strange ruling by Appeals Court. Allows funding this was stopped by Judge Lamberth. Seems premature, like they are already siding with Obama.

It is criminal how they are flushing tax dollars down the toilet with this research. But then when has the Obama Administration not been flushing tax dollars down the toilet...

Every time I see a judicial ruling these day, I realize that even if the Republicans win in 2010, that we have to drain the swamp of these unelected judges who are running roughshod over the Constitution and the will of the people.

Need to stop having lifetime appointments. Period.

Then we stand a chance...

Just how long it took to get rid of the Klu Klux Klan Grand Wizard Senator Robert Byrd...

Ya ever get a little tired of all the courts that seem more at odds with logic than a dog with fleas of who to scratch next.. can too much ‘justice’ be a bad thing?

The blobocracy that is law.. and what it has made us all.

Litigious creatures, with counsel.

This is what I’ve been thinking also. Drain the entire corrupt swamp starting with the bum’s marxist judges, down to the janitors. No more Mr. Nice-Get-A-Long-Guy.

It’s going to be a very rough road and I hope we’ll have people that have the know-how and the guts to bring us back from the suicidal abyss.

Listen to the real American people that want to live the American way.

It would be too much to ask that they get paid a token amount like they use to.

It’s become a highly profitable job which lasts a life-time.
