As one of the soldiers that went through Iraq a few years ago I can attest that getting the once in a while chance to get real food was some thing every single soldier in my unit looked forward too and we are an infantry unit. Sure we had ok chow on our FOB but when you are sucking in the stinking bush for a YEAR you look forward to these things. Is it healthy? Hell No, but neither is smoking, drinking or the many other things men do in war to relax and not freak out on each other.
