Nine Years After 9/11, Is Al-Qaeda's Threat Overrated? (NO! MSM and Rats living in pre-9/11 mindset)

Nine years after the 9/11 attacks, al-Qaeda's shadow still looms large in America's national conversation. President Barack Obama on Thursday warned that a grotesque Koran-burning prank planned by the pastor of a tiny Florida church would be a "recruitment bonanza for al-Qaeda." The putative threat of Osama bin Laden's little band of terrorists, believed to number no more than a couple of hundred, is also the prime reason offered in Washington for keeping close to 100,000 troops in Afghanistan at a huge cost in blood and treasure. "No challenge is more essential to our security than our fight against al-Qaeda," Obama said last week. "And because of our drawdown in Iraq, we are now able to apply the resources necessary to go on offense."

GOP heavyweight Newt Gingrich disagrees, warning that the Administration lacks a "serious strategy in fighting terrorism" and is blind to its danger — echoing Senator John McCain's effort, in the final weeks of his doomed 2008 presidential campaign, to rally support by asking whether Barack Obama "is a man who has what it takes to protect America from Osama bin Laden."

BHO & the MSM keep fixating on “al qaeda” as if it’s a singular threat. Al qaeda is not a country with a flag & national anthem. In fact, Bush did a good job of weakening
al qaeda.

It’s the most elite of the terrorist organizations but not our one & only threat. There are who even knows how many splinter groups out there ready to slaughter us all.

Don’t get sucked into the party line that it’s only about “al qaeda”.

Stay on your narrow-minded agenda CNN, ABC, CBS, NBC, NPR, MSNBC, NYT, LAT, etc. YOUR Kristallnacht is coming. Wake up and smell the roses. Islam from its beginnings has been a very troublesome religion and is deeply flawed. If nothing else, wake up and see what’s around you in the world.

Just like the Rats and MSM was claiming Al-Qaeda wasn't in Iraq even though they were actually allied with Ansar Al-Islam or Ansar Al-Sunni.

We have stopped fighting al quaida in afghanistan years ago. Because most of them are gone since years. We are fighting the Taliban there to prop up a corrupt but more “western friendly” (at least as long as we protect them) government.

Over-rated? Maybe, but if thats the case, its because Bush went on a Crusade and all but crushed it.

It’s a game they are playing to down play the threat of islamic terrorism. And to pander to islam, as in “we’re not at war with isalm, only with al qaeda”.

Bull crap.

Bush really did crush al qaeda, they’re a mere shadow of their former selves.

Unfortunately, lots of others are popping up to pick up the slack.

I am afraid that it is not ignorance that drives them, but a malice grown through steady infiltration of our government, our schools and the media by our enemies.
The Tea Party is not an organization, it is the belief that our nation has lost it’s way and must return to the God given rights that made this nation strong and prosperous. If we learn nothing else from 9/11 we must learn that the growing progressive malignancy in our system is visible to the entire world and they are waiting like vultures to see if we cut it out or it kills us.

The news media in this country really stinks. They hand us the liberal line all the time. Alternatives, please.

It’s 1941 and the Mayor of N.Y.C. is warmly kissing Tojo’s butt, just can’t get enough of that wunnerful stuff.
