I don’t get why the media was there, and why they kept insisting he identify himself. One guy continuously shouted, “You did this, you wanted the attention, what’s your name?”
I’d have said, you’re the investigative reporter, figure it out.
I’m not a big fan of burning Korans or American flags, I do think there are other ways to protest, but both are protected by the First Amendment. I understand there are those who believe this act by one man will inspire terrorists, but what Korans were burned before 9/11? What did they use for propaganda before then? No matter what we do, it shall be used as propaganda. Living our lives by rules because we don’t want to inspire terrorism is conceding our lives to the terrorists and letting them win.

Because if that would incite them to murder they were ready to do it anyway. This just exposes them for what they are. Backing down to their threats would be a far greater recruiting tool.

Seriously, he is well within his rights in doing this. If the islamists (always small “i”) don’t like it, that’s within their rights, assuming they are citizens of this country. If they’re citizens of Saudi Arabia, or elsewhere in the middle east, too bad. They do not have freedom of speech; we do. That book does NOT dictate what happens in this country. If the monkey-weasels of the left don’t like it, same thing. I will not listen to their hand-wringing drivel until AFTER they have treated those who desecrate the Bible in an appropriate fashion equal to what they spew about people burning the koran. Both are allowed for this country. Speaking for myself alone, I think this man did a brave thing, and I respect his attempt to draw a metaphorical line in the sand. He has stood up for his beliefs.
