To actually cut spending and stop the looting many federal departments and programs must be completely abolished. Not kept on a life line for a decade with the promise that they'll be finally ended ten years down the road. I say give these programs and departments six months to clean up the loose ends an then goodbye! Fire the employees and tear down the buildings if you must, to finally put a stake through the heart of these looter programs and organizations.Totally agree. Push reset back to 2005 spending levels or before, then one by one dismantle entire departments. Let them howl. If you do it everywhere and all at once they won't know what to concentrate on.

I don’t like the lines of thinking at all. Cutting social security “for the rich” means they are thinking about it the wrong way in the first place.
Didn’t “the rich” pay into social security? Is that not their money? Who is the government, any government, to say “we took it from you, we promised to give it back at a prescribed time but...well...you made enough money so we’ve decided not to give you your money back”.
If I took a loan from Citibank and decided not to pay them back because...well...they’ve made billions in profit do you think they’d be ok with that?
The conversation should never - ever - be about who decides someone has made enough money. That’s a statist, collectivist line of thinking in the first place and will invariably lead down a terrible path.
Get rid of welfare for able bodies. Why are we being force to pay for these people? Why are we paying to make their lives as comfortable as possible BEFORE we can care for our own families?
If we don't pay the government each year to care for these freeloaders, no matter how bad off we are ourselves, the IRS comes to hunt you down. Welfare families first, and we get to keep the "change" that's left over.
We pay $40,000.00 for every one welfare recipient each year. It costs us even more after they have their multitudes of children.

Here's a suggestion for dealing with the absolute mess you morons in Washington have made of the economy. Instead of raising taxes, we have a call for voluntary investment in a “Help Fix the Mistakes Made by the Idiots in Public Office Bailout Fund”. Citizens would be allowed to donate to this bailout fund, and all the money would have to be used to pay down the national debt. The fund would be managed by a group of private money managers, and by law none could be used for any government program, ever.
In return for this investment in the Bailout Fund, investors would receive a future tax break, to be used whenever they want, starting 2 calendar years after the investment. Further, in return for the Bailout investment, investors would receive proxies commensurate with their investment. Those proxies could be used to vote on the salaries and total compensation packages for all elected public officials and their appointed aides.

A Conservative believes in fiscal responsibility because he believes that citizens have the RIGHT to the fruit of their labors. He also believes that governments secure citizens’ unalienable right.
A “fiscal” conservative is an unprincipled RINO who claims he wants to spend less of your money than a democrat.
These are people who have had their paychecks raided for the last 40 years for this program. If they had those dollars, they could have saved it to spend on health care in their later years.
You can’t simply take away what people have already paid for. It has to be incremental.

Like most people, I’m all for helping someone get back on their feet until they can provide for themselves. The idea that we have generations born into welfare that live and die on the government dole though....that’s a disgrace.
Is he just unwilling to propose cuts in programs back by his “Democratic friends,” as the late Jack F. Kemp always called the opposition?
After all, he is from the Land of Lugar.
