The Rasmussen Reports daily Presidential Tracking Poll for Monday shows that 29% of the nation's voters Strongly Approve of the way that Barack Obama is performing his role as president. Forty-two percent (42%) Strongly Disapprove, giving Obama a Presidential Approval Index rating of -13

He deserves a much much MUCH lower rating.

Overall, 46% of voters say they at least somewhat approve of the president's performance. Fifty-three percent (53%) disapprove.

Don't worry. It was a nice weekend here in the Northeast. The polling took place over Friday, Saturday and Sunday. People with lives were out living them. People with no lives were at home and responding to Scott Rasmussen's computer. I'd wait for Thursday's number before drawing any conclusions.

The strongly approve/strongly disapprove is “bogus.” If voters really strongly approved/disapproved, you wouldn't see the massive swings you see during a one-week period.

I've just read that the Pew (play on words??) Research team says black voters are standing by their little tin god; that they want all of us other folk to leave their man alone and that he should "demand" respect.

Hey black voter!!! I've got news for you....!!!
We don't stand by while a little tin god and his minions make every attempt to destroy the US,
We will never leave this clown alone while he retains any vestige of power at all,
And you don't "demand" respect...you EARN it.

Perhaps the reason why the blacks won't desert the little tin god is because they have no further to fall. After all, for three or four generations, these folks have been underemployed or unemployed, on welfare, using community healthcare, and whining about how "the white man" won't let them succeed and if it weren't for government, they'd all starve to death.

And that is precisely where the little tin god wants to put the rest of us.

For those of us who've been thrown out of work due to the Depression, this pain and the ignominy of having to use government largess to feed our families and ourselves is very new and extemely troubling. Further, we will vote for anyone we think can reverse the process, get us back to work, and get the US back on track. Moreover, we will vote against anyone - ANYONE - we believe (or are sure) is trying their best to keep the situation the same or make it worse.

So black voter...you go ahead and stick by your little tin god. After all, for you, there really is no difference at all. And you've been buying into "hope" and "change" since the 30s.
