Business Insider: Is The Future Of Politics A Tea-Partier Who Was Nearly Foreclosed On Her Home?
Business Insider ^ | 09/14/2010 | Joe Weisenthal

Posted on 09/13/2010 8:52:03 AM PDT by SeekAndFind

Tomorrow is GOP primary day in Delaware where longtime Congressman Mike Castle is vying for his party's nomination against upstart candiate Christine O'Donnell, a tea partier with the support of Sarah Palin.

According to WaPo, the state party is freaking out about fringey O'Donnell, who has run for Senate multiple times in the past and failed. But this time she's running a shockingly good campaign on a shoestring budget. Obviously the Palin endorsement helps.

But maybe a lot of voters can relate to her

" The reason, state GOP officials argue, is that O'Donnell is simply unqualified to hold office. A two-time losing candidate against then-Sen. Joseph R. Biden Jr. - whose old seat she and Castle are seeking - O'Donnell has a history of financial difficulties documented in the Wilmington News Journal that includes an IRS lien, a near-foreclosure on her mortgage and a dispute with her alma mater for not paying college expenses. She has a tiny campaign operation and, for most of the year, she received virtually no grass-roots financial support within Delaware.

So is the guy in the White House, but 'he won', remember?

Mike Castle is unqualified to be called a conservative.

Joe Biden was one of their Senators for years and now all of a sudden they are concerned about qualification? Seriously ? If only that standard were upheld nationwide. Most of both houses of Congress would be unemployed along with Obama!

How many Americans are behind on their mortgages or owe thousands in credit cards? Tens of millions. Who has never been in debt? Trust-fund RINOs like Mike Castle. I frankly don’t care if O’Donnell has 10 bankruptcies and is a Wiccan who cooks up little kitties in a big cauldron in her basement. Mike Castle supports Cap and Tax, ObamaCare, Law of the Sea, International Criminal Court, Abortion, Gun Control, and every 0other part of the Obama/Globosocialist agenda. Christine O’Donell will vote against EVERY SINGLE ONE of those things. Period. and that is why she should have the vote fo every Republican in Delaware.

O’Donnell doesn’t have enough rich friends apparently to be a politician. Her home was almost foreclosed on . . . while Obama got a sweetheart real estate deal from a now convicted political power broker he did favors for.

Go Christine.

And what does “almost foreclosed on” mean? It sounds like BS. Foreclosure is a court case and then an order. It’s one or the other, not almost.

Ah yes, another Slime job by the Establishment media machine.

Seems to me that's a requirement for the Obama administration.

So which is it Delaware GOP? Are you lying to us now or were you lying to us when you picked O’Donnell to be your candidate for US Senate in 2008?

Better ANY day than, oh say, a morally and politically corrupt family of condescending Massachusetts socialist elitists, who made their money breaking the law.

OK, so she understands what it means to be on the receiving end of a government boot on the throat. In my book the above are valuable life lessons and an experience that increases her qualifications.

“Joe Biden was one of their Senators for years and now all of a sudden they are concerned about qualification?”

I am writing the next paragraph with all the seriousness I can stress and in no way am insulting mentally handicapped or developmentally challenged people.

When I see Joe Biden, I have always thought he physically looked ‘off’. When John Travolta's son died and there were pictures of him published, one could tell there was a developmental problem with him. I think the same of Biden.

Who could that be? A corrupt family of Irish bootleggers who quite probably had a hand in the Great Depression?

Was the ‘patriarch’ of the family a Nazi sympathizer who has one of his daughters lobotomized?

Are we talking about the same clan? :)

Does anyone know what are the source for Castles finances? It seems all these multi-decade inside the beltway types have millions of dollars in assets even though they have a job that pays $162,100 a year plus lavish benefits. The reason for this high salary was because these dopes complained they had to run two households. If that is true, there is not a whole lot left to invest to create that wealth.

I know Castle is a RINO, but he’s a Republican who can beat the Democrat. This Gal may have got some people excited, but she is a flake and would certainly lose to the Dem.

Here’s how O’Donnell should handle this..

Step up to the microphone and say, “Look, it’s very simple. Everyone who has ever had to struggle financially vote for me, and those who have never had to struggle financially, vote for Mr. Castle. Thank you very much.”

She is good looking, which makes up for all the flakiness.
