FReeper Candidate Needs FReeper Help ASAP!
Concerned ^ | 09/13/2010 | Concerned

I am a 912'er, long-time FReeper, and first-time candidate, running for JUSTICE...of the Peace (Pct. 5), against a 28-year-incumbent-Democrat, in the most liberal part of Tarrant County, TX (the 2nd most conservative county in the U.S.).

We each ran unopposed in our respective Primaries, but I actually got 361 more votes in the Republican Primary than he did in his Democrat Primary.

I need all the Freeper help I can get, e.g. calling, donations, etc. If you live in Tarrant County, putting up signs and putting on a bumper sticker would also help A LOT!

But you can HELP, even if you live 1,000 miles away!!! If you can help in any way, please go to my website at http://VoteSurber.ORG and then to "Contact Me" and send me an email to let me know how you can help.

I have a survey set up online that enables FReepers and others to call from ANYWHERE in the US---without even having to dial one number!!!

And if you reach an answering machine (which you do a lot, especially during business hours), you just click a button and the computer leaves a PRE-RECORDED message, i.e. you don't even have to say anything on those--just click a button after the answering machine "beep."

WE MAY GET A TWO-FER!!!

If I can get out MY vote, the SAME people are likely to vote to replace the Democrat incumbent in State House District 90, making a 2-vote difference (DOWN 1 for the Democrats and UP 1 for the Republicans)!

A vote for me will likely ALSO mean a vote for ALL the state-wide and county-wide races.

Of course, I could use monetary donations. For the show of support from fellow 912'ers, I have added amounts of $9.12, $49.12 and $912.00, plus a place for an "other" amount.

I would appreciate ANY amount of help and/or donation!

BTW, does anyone know how to set up a $10-donation-via-texting system, where a person texts something like "Justice" to a "short code" and it charges $10 to the person's cell phone bill? If you recall, the Red Cross or Salvation Army had people text "Haiti" to some 6-digit number and it charged $10 to their cell phone bill.

BTW2, I like the photo on the first page, but I recently lost 40+ lbs., so I look a lot thinner now.

You should post this on the TX state forum.

Thank you. I just did. The post limits you to just 4 areas, and since people can call from anywhere in the US, I chose other topics first.

ANY amount will help, but the more the better. Signs are expensive and will probably be in the $1,600-$2K range. I need to get them ordered and put up ASAP. Early voting starts just FIVE WEEKS FROM TODAY!!!

My starter PhotoShop ran out of time a few days ago and it won't let me add any more photos (or change any). I just bought PS Elements 8, but I have not had a chance to install it yet.

Thank you so much! I really appreciate your support!

BTW, because donations are processed through a third party, unless someone tells me they donated, it takes several days before I even know about it or receive the proceeds.

I have added a current photo to my Home page at http://VoteSurber.ORG, so now you can see photos before and after my recent 40+ pound weight loss. (Although I like the 2008 photo, I have never felt better than I do now!)

Unfortunately, I just ordered new, slightly smaller, glasses Monday, so I'll probably replace both photos with an even more current photo.

Thanks again for your support!
