“The NRSC will play where they want to”

They will get squashed like a bug then, in the current political rising tide.

Liberty.com will set up an office on DE for the remainder of the campaign to help Christine O’Donnell knock off Coons:
++++++++++++++++

Fellow Patriots,

I don’t normally write personal style emails like this one, so please read carefully the words that follow.

Last night something big happened. A personal friend of mine, and a person who I believe to be one of the most authentic, conservative minded people in the Tea Party Movement, fired 40 year politician Mike Castle.

Well, actually, the voters of Delaware rejected/fired Mike Castle. But it can certainly be said that Christine O’Donnell herself played a significant role in the process.

SOME BACKGROUND

On April 15th, 2010, I attended and spoke at the Tax Day Tea Party on the lawn in front of Independence Hall in Philadelphia. It was at this event where I first met Christine O’Donnell.

At the time, she was virtually unknown outside of Delaware. Most “A-List” bloggers had no idea who she was, all the big names in politics weren’t interested in her candidacy, and her shot at the Senate primary had a “well, it would be nice” sort of feel.

It was during the following few days that I decided I would help Christine in her bid for U.S. Senate. I joined the campaign in late April, and stayed on, redesigning her website, setting up a lot of social media efforts, and working with Steve Foley to put her on the map online.

About six weeks ago, Steve and I both had to separate from the campaign because of our work with Americans for New Leadership and Liberty.com. We have, however, worked tirelessly to promote her candidacy behind the scenes. And on the flip-side of that, we’ve worked to expose the liberal policy of progressive Republican Mike Castle.

LAST NIGHT’S PRIMARY FIGHT

In a shocking blow to the establishment, Christine O’Donnell won the primary battle with a wide margin and no question as to where the voters of Delaware stand.

For almost two years now, this movement has been warning establishment politicians that we will no longer tolerate an abandonment of conservative principles. We’ve said this at tea party protests, during media events, media appearances, conferences, letters, personal visits, etc.

Yet, people like Mike Castle refuse to listen and stand by their progressive, bankrupt positions.

HOUSTON, WE HAVE A PROBLEM

Much of the establishment is not happy. An entrenched politician like Mike Castle has a lot of special interest strings attached, and him going down the way he did stripped power and money from a lot of individuals on all sides of the political isle.

Mike Castle and his establishment ilk are suggesting that Christine O’Donnell cannot win in the general, while ignoring the fact that she came from being some 20 points behind to beating Castle by 6+ points, and she did so in just three weeks.

Why on earth would she not be able to do the same in the next seven weeks? She can, but that’s not what the establishment hacks would have you believe.

OUR PART OF THE SOLUTION

Americans for New Leadership and Liberty.com is proud to announce that we’ll be opening an office in Delaware for the remainder of the 2010 election cycle. We’ll also be spending a sizable amount of money on media buys in support of Christine O’Donnell for Senate, and in opposition of Coons, her Democrat opponent.

The purpose of our on-the-ground office is to put together a get-out-the-vote campaign and implement an aggressive organizing blitz across the state.
