“ODonnell gains nothing by getting into a p*ssing match with Rove. And more generally, the conservatives on this site and in the halls of power have nothing to gain by duking it out with the other end of this party. Yall have won and should now take on the aura of winners. Attention must now turn to defeating the democrats.”
Considering Rove was slamming O’Donnell DURING the election yesterday, still desperately trying to influence it for Castle’s favor, I’d say a bit of a response was OK.
I agree, we need to move on, as long as Mr. Rove is willing to do so. If not, I’ll come to Christine’s defense myself - his “genius” of 2000 and 2004 notwithstanding...:)
I’m not following this as closely as others are, but aside from Rove, whose behavior I find astonishingly and perplexingly bad, I haven’t seen any of the Republican mainstream badmouthing of O’Donnell that is being alleged. The powers that be are all coming to her support.
I’m likely just misinformed on this, and perhaps she has been unfairly panned by the leadership of her own party. But does anyone have any non-Rove evidence of this ... since the polls opened on election day?
I’m always suspicious of MSM reports. They have an incentive to trump up these differences. I’d be interested to know if any Republican has been willing to go on the record since the end of the primaries to bash O’Donnell.
For the record, leading up to election day a certain amount of intra-party bashing is to be expected. The leaders of our party are allowed to endorse whoever they want.
My question is this, to repeat. Who is on the record as a villain here, other than knucklehead Rove?
