Exclusive- Karl Rove Tried To Cut Deal For Castle With Tea Party
Freedomist ^ | 9/14/10 | Bill & Paul Collier

Posted on 09/15/2010 4:17:36 AM PDT by jimbo123

Sources at the Christine O’Donnell victory party revealed to The Freedomist that in December of last year Karl Rove met with Tea Party leaders in Dover, Delaware trying to get them to cut a “deal” in which they would leave Mike Castle alone and NOT support O’Donnell.

The Freedomist has also learned that Rove was allegedly acting as an operative, although in what capacity it is not known, even as he is playing the role of a political analyst on Fox New in a fair and balanced way.

Castle was a very BAD republican choice. Pro Crap and Trade?
Hand to get him arm twisted to vote no on Obamacare? Wont vote to repeal it? Definitely too high a risk for him to pull Jim Jeffords. he had to lose. He was the Dede scozzafaz of Delaware.

The establishment GOP is still useful of course at times but they have to do better at picking candidiates that appeal to all wings of the Party and not just the elite Liberal wing.

O’Donnell is no great prize either. I’m having a hard time finding anyone whether GOP backed or Tea Party backed that I’m in love with.

What is it that makes the Republican establishment so concerned about her honesty and character?

Your presuppositions may be wrong here. Sanity check: Is Castle the paragon of honesty and character?

The only explanation I can find is "the good ol' boy network" rationalized by "after thoroughly trashing her in public we don't find her polling well."

It may also have to do with reality here. Because Castle can be bought and sold and O'Donnell hasn't given clear signals regarding her ability to be bought, this gives Establishment types one less option when pushing through their pet legislation and regulations. The culture of the East Coast is largely corrupt and self-absorbed because they have embraced fully post-modernism; this means to extract campaign loot one needs quid pro quos rather than love of country, freedom, liberty and old fashioned altruism.

Castle, as a classic seedy politician doesn't have any convictions and so third parties interested in advancing their own agenda were able to use him as they would any other tool to advance their cause.

Rove, being at the top of this game, must by necessity be one of these sorts of players too. There is no character in government, it is a bad presupposition that those with character will make it. Look at Palin, she had to drop out of formal politics to work in guerrilla or irregular politics in order to succeed.

Because Palin and the Tea Party are working in asymmetrical politics, the graduating class of the Kennedy School of Government can't process it and thus they resort to primitive behaviors typified by playground bullies. Since O'Donnell is perceived as Tea Party, the template is "destroy her now" since power structures usually "get rid of that which they don't understand".

This is the beauty of the Tea Party, it trashes the paradigm by being truly grassroots, without formal leaders, official platform nor discernible power base. Rove, not having a strategy against something so novel, is acting out on his basic broad-sword political instincts.

I think the question is: What was promised to Karl Rove by George Soros to join his anti-Tea Party hit squad?

IMHO..Rove was actually tryin gto build his credentials as “the one” who could broker Tea Party deals. He doesn’t understand the Tea Party has no leaders authorized to do such deals. He’s pissed because he’s out of the “power broker” loop as We the People are starting to take responsibility for vetting candidates directly. Wait ‘til all of DC figures out that with modern communications and alternative media...there’s no need for “power brokers” or lobbyists.

It will really just start to get ugly then...

Karl can count, but he can’t figure.

You are right. Rove is relying on the same game plan that has worked for years. What he doesn’t understand is that history is out the window in the election this year.

They, the establishment GOP, do not understand the anger of the country any more than the democrats do.

They want a republican majority. We want a conservative voice.

O’Donnell’s supposed character issues can be explained away fairly easily. She’s undoubtedly more socially conservative than her state, but if she can hold to a tea party message and platform she’s a chance of sticking long-term—because I believe she can and will get in in November. Angle, I think will settle down nicely as well.

The potentially embarrassing supposed tea-party candidates are those such as Paladino—who almost seems sent from Democrats’ central casting false caricature of the movement. Note that DeMint, Palin and the Tea Party Express are nowhere near that guy.

The numbers can be manipulated and they are, all the time.

I think these elitists have placed too much faith in their models. Just as the AGW crowd did. The raw data going in may not have been wrong, but the weighting and the massaging is.

The elite, including Rove, do not live in the same reality that we do. They cannot understand the depth of disgust and anger we feel. If they really wanted to take the Senate back, they could back Christine. They want their faction of the team to win because they need to keep control of the game as it has been played for decades. We want to change the game. You cannot take the emotion out of politics. Politics is people and people are not database points to be manipulated to reach some pre-determined result.

This isn’t football and if it all goes crashing down, then let it be on the donk/rino shoulders. Their motivations are so suspect, it isn’t worth even discussing. For me, they have lost whatever credibility they may have had.

Let’s not forget that when Bush brought him aboard, he was leading in the polls over Gore by 20%... (and that’s in the popular vote!)

If true, Carl Rove is not only done for, he’s a fool. I will not watch another Fox interview with that jerk on there.

Have emailed Hannity and complimented him on his defense of O’Donnell and the TEA Party last night.

I do not trust that rat Hannity. I remember the Connecticut Senate race a few years ago. I watched the debates. There were at least 3 candidates that would have been better than Lieberman. But Hannity practically campaigned daily for Lieberman. Lieberman - the guy that was the Dem VP candidate in 2000. There was a good candidate running on a conservative platform. Imagine if Hannity had decided to talk about that guy as much as he talked about Lieberman.

At best, Hannity is not that smart. I think he's just a whore who goes where he thinks the conservatives are to sell books and event tickets.

Glenn Beck was on the Lieberman sycophant train as well.

Limbaugh, on the other hand, kept asking “Isn’t there an acceptable alternative running?”.

All that Bush “comassionate conservatism” and all those associated with it can kiss my hairy rear end.
And that be Carl Rove and G.W. Bush.

...but the entire majority will be made up of people that have varying points of view...

See the problem with this is the folks who have "opinions" that are anti-freedom and anti-constitution should never ever be given credence.

“...I am NOT a fan of third party candidacies. Which is exactly why I would not vote Republican if they keep marginalizing true conservatives. If they keep saying they don’t want the votes of conservatives, the votes will have to go elsewhere.”

I second your opinion!
If Rove and his ilk Republicans truly believe O’Donnell has too many skeletons to win, why keep Castle? They could have convinced him to step down and find a more viable Republican conservative candidate.
The problem with this strategy: they dislike conservatives. The RINOs are globalists and liberal on social issues. I truly believe they have been bought by the Bilderbergers and CFR.

Remember that Rove saw his role as the man who would usher in a new GOP era, like the one that started in 1896 with the election of McKinley.

Remember also that that was the beginning of the Progressive Era.

I have been posting here since 2004. I have always been the one to poo-poo the idea of third parties.

But the elitism, the insularity, the self-interest, and the CONTEMPT for the people demonstrated by the Republican establishment have me livid. and I have a lot of company.

Make no mistake, O’Donnell will be hounded and vilified by the Republican establishment throughout the election and for as long as she is in the public eye.

I plan to give to her campaign, and not to the RNC. And let them know it, too.
