Religious standards all depend upon the crowd, right? Your crowd of fellow Baptists would all likely (and rightly) agree that this is in appropriate. No problem - the crowd agrees.

However, this particular group did not agree - and the parent opted to FORCE them to comply with her wishes. She was shown the door, and rightly so.

No ONE PERSON has the right to demand, control and force her opinion, views or religion on any GROUP. This rule is hard and fast; I don’t care if you are a single Baptist, or the single Muslim. You don’t have the right to coerce the group to do what you want - period.

We are talking about 6 yr olds. This is Kindergarten to 1st grade girls.

Now, if you had girls as cheerleaders in your church, that’s fine and good. But, were these girls fat and ugly? Probably not. Were they young, fit and attractive? Probably so. Do the uniforms they wear enhance their ‘assets’?

If you watch High School Cheerleader competitions, and College Cheerleader competition - and you don’t think that these girls are using sex to sell - you are horribly mistaken. It’s NOT just Pro Sports cheerleaders - those are the role models that all the cheerleaders are mimicking.

Why do you think guys want to see young attractive girls jump up and down, bend over, and spread their legs? As a straight male, I can promise you that it is NOT because men are impressed by their athletic prowess.

Back when I was in school, many years ago, our cheerleaders dressed modestly and just did regular cheers - the old-fashioned “go team”, etc. Now cheerleading is a very competitive sport and scholarships are given.

And some of our little cheerleaders were indeed “chubby”. They were all treated equally and no one was turned away from either the basketball team or cheer team. It was about kids having fun.

By your way of thinking, one person could never change anything and group-think would rule. I will agree to disagree with you.
