The thing that has bothered me about the Republicians for the last 20 years or so was that they were poor copies of the Dems. Bush would not close the border, ran deficits, etc. One wonders if they will ever shape up?

That is the million dollar question. Upon the answer hinges any real possibility to “take back” the party. From my view, the Goldwaters, Reagans and Palins are the anomalies. What are called RINOs actually are the GOP norm - the Fords, the Doles, yes - the Bushes, the Romneys and the McCains.

We are attempting to invert the GOP in an equal - but opposite - way that the Democrat party was inverted in 1968.

Time will tell, but unquestioning party loyalty is nearly extinct.
