Aircraft clocked (or spotted, however that works) me at 125 in Blythe California. Ticket for 90 because the officer didn’t believe my car could go any more than that.

On the long straight highway 9 between El Paso and Demming, someone might have got a 350Z going 154 according to the speedo. That same someone might also have been passed like he was standing still by a Ferrari going lord knows how fast.

Then again, they probably realized they too, would be trying to get out of Blythe as fast as possible.

I spent a couple of miserable nights in Blythe with a horrible cold while driving back to Knoxville, TN from Davis a couple of years ago. It’s such a desolate place that I decided the locals, during the 1950s, must hve decided to improve it by leasing it to the Federal government for atmospheric nuclear tests. Unfortunatelhy, even the nukes didn’t do much good.
