Crews working to seal BP's blown-out well in the Gulf of Mexico once and for all need to finish one more pressure test on a cement plug before declaring the well permanently dead, officials said Saturday.
The crew plans to celebrate once the well is officially killed. "We're going to have a good meal together - prime rib," Robson said.

While you're at it, care to dictate their wages, benefits, car they drive to work in?
Geeze give them a break. The rig crew and other contractors worked hard over the past several months and look like they are on the verge of accomplishing their goals. Heck yeah they have the right to celebrate their hard work and successful completion of their job. Thanks to Obama’s moratorium I wonder how many of these people will be out of a job in the next few weeks?
I don’t understand your point either.
Are you kidding?
They need to take these guys to a place that serves Prime Rib with an open bar tab and free lap dances.
“Prime Rib?”
Why aren’t they eating seafood from the Gulf?
Very interesting video here...scientists discuss phone calls they received from the Obama administration...

So should they have shrimp or lobster from the gulf?
LOL— i work offshore and we eat GOOD.. prime rib is served atleast once a week, and seafood night( snow crabs, oysters, fried and baked fish, gumbos, well you name it, they got it , or can order it)- i work out there just to eat—lol well, the moneys good to
Prime Rib is a better choice than Wagyu steak and lobster as preferred in other quarters. They worked their arses off, give them a break.
HUH?? these guys did a truly remarkable job, under a mile of sea water and 18000 feet of ocean floor.
There is no way they do not deserve good meal and a job well done.
Well, seeing how 0bama does a lot less and has Wagyu beef, Prime Rib is kinda low-key.
“...this is NO time or place to celebrate...”

Why not?
I'm going to guess that the cost of transporting supplies to the rig is such that they figure they might as well have the food they send be good food.
Making a moutain out of a molehill aren’t you? Do you think firefighters might celebrate a little after putting out a big fire? Policemen might share a drink together after taking out a killer?
I’m thinking that may not have worked out like you planned?
yeah, its expensive. transported by a company leased boat once a week, plus other supply’s. parts and stuff also. i work on a production P/F for Apache about 10 miles from BP’s blowout.
I agree with most of the posters here.
These guy did a hell of a job and are deserving of a celebration.
Celebrations are in order...just to taunt the DoomsDay Crowd.
Let’s see how it is treated by the msm if it makes it there. My suggestion is to have the celebration, but don’t chat it up in the press because I suspect they will be crucified. A very bad idea imho, and i’m not surprised with the replies.
I prefer a good Delmonico Steak, myself.
