If I was absolutely certain the Republicans could not take the Senate, I would seriously consider supporting McCain’s opponent.

I’ve never done anything like that. I’ve never even not shown up and voted straight R. But I can see it from here.

I know how you feel. At this point, I’d happily leave the Senate in the bolshies’ hands if we could finally rid ourselves of bastards like McCain, Snowe, Collins, and Graham.

I’ve always voted a straight R ticket since my second presidential election. After McCain I swore no more. I would not go along to get along anymore and vote for whomever the establishment said to vote for. In good conscience I can not vote for a Democrat at any level of elected office either, so I’ll leave a race empty if need be.

We do have a chance to take the Senate but I wonder if we’re doing ourselves more damage by giving someone like McCain another 6 years in office just get someone with an R after their name.

That’s actually a pretty good idea. If we were 110% we couldn’t take the Senate back.
