California Congresswoman Mary Bono Mack has pulled her "bus tour" ad criticizing her Democratic opponent after business owners complained it tarnished the image of Palm Springs. The Republican's campaign ads were released online Aug. 30. The ad criticizing Palm Springs Mayor Steve Pougnet featured an animated tour bus traveling through the Southern California desert resort city with a guide pointing out vacant store fronts, the closed-on-Fridays City Hall and an unemployment line.

This ad ran on Drudge. I have a question. Did anyone see this ad on Drudge. I'm wonder if it ran across the country or if Drudge has a way to just put up local content based on location.
A seperate mailer that her campaign sent out said this...
"We're more scared than ever to walk the streets alone, says Stone's letter, which was paid for by the Bono Mack committee. Our downtown is devastated. Stores are boarded up, streets are dirty and the homeless have taken over.
That is what seems to have been the final straw for the businesses.
What bemuses and mystifies me is the fact we have two members of congress of the same party, who married each other while in congress that have districts on opposite ends of the nation. How does each fulfill the residency requirements let alone serve their districts full time ?
It would appear one is trying to hold up her end.
I suppose they spend their time together in DC and maintain a residence in each state.
Stores and shops that have been there for 30+ years are now empty.
I had to close my shop after down sizing three time to reduce costs.
Now I am back to where I started from as a home based working out of the workshop/ office at our house.
Mrs. McClure and I realized that we don't need another retail location to run our company and will never open another store.
Our on-line site and our workshop is all we need. Employees well we found that its is better to do it all ourselves and put that money in our pockets.
Palm Springs Ping!
I wonder if that church downtown is for sale...
We don’t need another building, even though I know you want to own Blackstone hall.
Florida seems to be the preferred digs.
