The first family left the White House on foot this morning for the 9am choral holy eucharist service and sermon at St John's Church Lafayette Square.
The Obamas walked out of the residence at 8.49am and crossed the park to the nearby Episcopal church.
The president was wearing a dark suit and held Sasha Obama's hand. She was wearing a blue dress and cream cardigan. Michelle and Malia Obama were wearing cream-colored dresses. (Check photos for accuracy of descriptions. It's sunny and pool was at a distance.)
The service sheet doesn't indicate what the sermon is on but the gospel is Luke 16:1-13, which ends 'You cannot serve God and wealth.'
Lafayette Park and Pennsylvania Avenue in front of White House were closed to the public.

More amazing is that Zero and his advisers are so obtuse that they didn't start with these photo-ops 12 months ago. I suppose he was fearful of annoying his Muslim supporters. Someone must have told him that there are more Christians who vote than Muslims who vote in the US. (Someone still needs to tell him that there are more people who work than people on welfare in the US. At least for today.)

The Episcopal Church invites all baptized Christians to communion. I think this may exclude him. But it probably won’t stop him.

It looks very suspicious, but let’s pray that something which brings humility and conscience will take place in the heart. It is possible that the little girls will hear something which will impress and bring solid and long lasting fruit in their lives. We all would do well to say a prayer for the message which will be given there today.

Ok, this is wild, I visited DC for the first time in June. We parked in front of this Church. It is super close to the White House. Of the very few non public building places in DC I would know. This is the One.
That he has chosen to go to church is a GOOD thing, that he has taken his Children is a Good thing. Everyone has a chance to be saved.
Maybe the hand of the Lord will work in his and his family’s life.
The Obama/dems know if they have ANY Hope at all in minimizing the TEA party wave coming at them is to get the black vote out again.
Many blacks are VERY disappointed in Obama for various reasons. They may not openly say so but will vote with their feet as in not going to vote in the midterms.
The fact a LOT of Americans of all colors think he is a stealth Muslim makes black even more discouraged in their messiah and will sit home.
Remember, in a couple of months, they go to Hawaii.
