Russia will cut its army of bureaucrats by more than 100,000 within the next three years, saving 43 billion rubles ($1.5 billion), Finance Minister Alexei Kudrin said on Monday. "We assume more than 100,000 federal state civil jobs will be cut within three years. The government has already included a schedule for cutting the number of federal civil servants in the draft budget for the next three years and coordinated it with ministries and agencies," Kudrin told President Dmitry Medvedev, who in June ordered a 20 percent cut in the number of bureaucrats.

Fortunately, The Obismalinsky Commission will hire these 100,000 CZARS to oversea our economy and aid in wealth distribution. A special RED Card Visa is being issued for this purpose!

Since he has been in charge he as put down Islamic terrorists, closed his country's borders, gotten their oil industry booming, and now is shrinking the size of government. Seriously can we rent Vlad just for a few weeks.

To paraphrase an old joke. What do you call 100,000 bureaucrats at the bottom of the ocean? Answer: A good start.

In russia, if you do something stupid wihle being a government official, you get worse than bad press. Russia is run by actual leaders, not aspiring humanitarians. They don’t run their countries like a massive welfare office.

For all that we screech about how Vlad was KGB and this makes him non-compassionate, he is a nationalist of the first order which is what any president should be, nothing else. He looks after his country and his country only. I think we need more leaders like this in the US.

I would prefer a little more Peter the Great and a little less Ivan the Terrible. But yes it would be nice to have a patriot at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue again.

With a current Russian fertility rate of just 1.49 they aren’t going to have anyone to regulate into the ground in a few decades.

Sounds like they got the answer to our problems. We need to downsize government—cut spending—reduce pensions—and get our house back in order. Russia will rebuild sooner and become a great power when we have stumbled into a pit of debt. The Europeans have the answer—we are still stumbling in the dark.
