Heh heh. I don't mean to tip them off, but what's happening should be obvious. The Dems are trying to keep their base motivated as well, and that's going to involve something of a "squeeze play". On one side you've got a minority contingent - suburban and rural blue collar Democrats who are upset with Obama for breaking his promise to govern as a centrist; while on the other there's the dominant faction - the hard-core, urbanized KosKidz, HuffPos and Olbermaniacs who are pissed at the President for not being Left enough. Keeping both sides happy is going to prove impossible.

I think you are right. Frost claims the Democrats have a 20 point lead in the West, and yet pretty much every poll shows Fiorina and Boxer neck and neck. One of two things hs to be true: the Democrats don’t have a 20 point lead in the West or the independents are breaking hard for Fiorina.
