The ALA in California backs the state's efforts to reduce sprawl and foster a different kind of built environment in the future:
"If doctors and other health experts designed our cities, they would look quite different than the sprawling communities we see today," said Sonal R. Patel, M.D., American Lung Association in California Board Member and Director of White Memorial Pediatric Medical Groups Division of Allergy and Immunology in Los Angeles. "Cities would provide more healthy choices, more opportunities for walking and biking, better access to transit, less congestion, more housing close to workplaces, and more parks for kids and families to enjoy."

Everyone wants in on the act. Here in Utah we even have the Utah Dept of Transportation building high density housing near the new light rail lines. Welcome to the future. You will live where ordered. Of course the people planning these concentrati... er I mean, high density communities will never live in them themselves.
If there ever was a reason for a 2nd amendment this is it. Every one of these “planners” is an enemy of freedom and a slaver. Who gave these clowns the idea that they have the right to tell others how to live?
Maybe I’m missing something, but aren’t people that live in rural areas generally in better health than people that live in crowed urban environments?
Besides, did these people entierly miss the internet revolution. Who says you have to travel to a central location to work, receive education, play, etc... Via the internet, a person living in rural Montana can be just as close to downtown LA as a person living in LA.
The automobile created ubran sprawl. The internet will finish the job to the point that where you live will at times be totaly meaningless.
No thanks, life is going to get snuffed by Obozocare anyway. I will keep my freedom and enjoy it more than being a serf to overlords for the false promise of a long life.

Stop unnecessary personal spending while pushing government to spend as much as possible. After the defaults, there will be no money for such troublemakers. Reject and ridicule politics, as all political parties are in the pockets of those who prevent new, domestic business competition (see extreme political correctness in candidates selected by favored, free-traitor and banking/real estate bailout constituents).
It’s the only way. Become self-sufficient, stop buying, encourage wild government spending, and stop entertaining the political class.
Oh, yeah, the vehicle smog generated by the worthy classes visiting peasant cities would be great for asthmatics. The truth of the matter is that elite folks don’t want you cluttering up their rural areas and intend to herd you off of your properties and into the cities.
...unless you encourage continued government big spending while refusing to make any unnecessary personal purchases (thereby refusing to generate revenues while allowing them to spend all of theirs—thus, deposing them from power). Become more frugal and self-sufficient.
