I heard that bit of the speech...I audibly called him an idiot and changed the channel.

What is amazing is that the libs keep trying to pass this guy off as some sort of genius. That's only by comparison with other liberals perhaps.

He has the temperament of a nine year old.

He has the global understanding of a nine year old.

He has the social skills of a nine year old.

He has the religions depth of a nine year old.

He has a nine year old’s level of history comprehension.

He only has the ability to read his speeches, a nine year old’s level of ability.

His vision of what the United State’s proper role in the world should be, is also that of a nine year old.

His understanding of the positive role the U. S. has played in the world is also pegged at... you guessed it, a nine year old’s level of understanding.

And that would be a nine year old from an Asian nation.

Any nine year old raised in the United States could see right through this pinhead’s unfortunate childishness.

Tell me they don't pay attention to FR. If I knew how to link it to the post I would

To: kristinn Something no one is hitting on is that "Mexicans" as he deliberately and forcefully says it, never were here before "America was even a idea" as a matter of fact Mexico just celebrated their 200th anniversary. American Indians Europeans,Africans they were all here, Mexicans were not. 26 posted on Monday, September 20, 2010 4:29:46 PM by normy (Don't take it personally, just take it seriously.)

::Facepalm::

The nation of Mexico wasn't an independent nation until 1821, prior to that it was just a colony of those evil Europeans, he Spaniards. That is well after 1776 Zero.

For liberals the birth of the United States is every bit as much a "naqba" as the birth of Israel. Liberals believe the USA is a foreign colonial implant on "Turtle Island," which allegedly belongs to "indigenous" Spanish-speaking sixteenth century inquisition-style Roman Catholics (who vote Dem).

The Left may invoke Marx but it long ago succumbed to early nineteenth century romantic German nationalism. People should stay in their mystical "motherlands" instead of being "foreign devils" in other peoples'.

And yet not one lib has ever suggesting dis-establishing the United States. Instead they want a totalitarian US government to make everything peachy for everybody.

The TEXT of the speech says this:

“So let me close by saying this. Long before America was even an idea, this land of plenty was home to many peoples. To British and French, to Dutch and Spanish, to Mexican — (applause) — to countless Indian tribes. We all shared the same land. We didn’t always get along. But over the centuries, what eventually bound us together — what made us all Americans — was not a matter of blood, it wasn’t a matter of birth. It was faith and fidelity to the shared values that we all hold so dear. We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, endowed with certain inalienable rights: life and liberty and the pursuit of happiness.”

I note he managed to not say “endowed by their Creator...”

Perhaps he said it differently at the podium.
