You are apparently confusing me for someone else.

This is a forum for discussion. Discussion sometimes lead to a debate.

I ain’ calling no one names and I am speaking for myself, no one else.

I have no idea what drove you to your conclusions, but I assure you, you are absolutely incorrect in your assesment of me.

Instead...If you really wanna discuss it, take it out of the forum and into something more private. You are distracting from the active discussion.

Regards,

WAW

Pardon me while I quote Rush, but if now is not the time to decide to run conservative, when is the right time?

Seriously.

I have every right to try to state my case - while the timing of events makes it relevant.

After the primaries, it will be a lib dem versus a repubulican...I’ll crawl over broken glass to keep the dem out. Know that.

But now is the time to discuss and frame the issues that will shape the selection of who is going run.

In some ways, I can see the argument that we need professionals...not amateurs in government, because the lifetime beaurocrats will eat those amateurs alive. I get it.

But in the house and in the senate, it comes down to votes. Who will consistently vote with conservative ideas.

So we need to articulate what that means...and now is the time to remind folks what those principles mean. If not now, when?

Seriously.

Why should right compromise with wrong? To me its that simple.

Feel free to say otherwise. It’s your God-given right.

But actions speak louder than words.

Jeez, Give them a chance will ya Michelle. We haven't even had the election yet. Much less the transfer of power.

The primaries _ARE_ over. They’ve been over for a week.

It’s time to beat the Democrats.

Riight. I can’t look ahead to 2012. I can’t look ahead to shaping the debate between the primary and the current elections.

I’ve thought for a while that our leading talk show folks and writers should run for office. They bring a legion of followers, have no trouble with funds, and are able to communicate and teach conservatism better than most politicians. They would also attract huge media attention which would further spread the message.

It didn’t take more than a minute to browse the bill and come up with problems MNJohnnie. For instance, it talks about revoking Obamacare and replacing it with something better. Revoking it is all the federal government is approved to do by the U. S. Constitution.

One other problem that became readily apparent was the suggestion that Republicans were going to roll back spending to 2008 levels. MNJohnnie, I saw your graph with Bush vs Obama budgets yesterday. That graph would be very commendable if not for one thing.

The national debt our nation accumulated since it’s inception was about 5.2 trillion when Bush was sworn in. By the end of his terms in office, the debt had gone up close to 92%.

Then you made a startling comment. You stated that the major cause for excessive spending under Bush was related to the War in Iraq.

The truth is, the Iraq war cost about $700 billion. Under Bush the national debt went up about $4.5 trillion.

Look, perhaps I get too wound up at times concerning the Republican party, but your defenses of the party amounts to nothing less than full blown propaganda at times. Just because people understand this, don’t think they’re totally dismissed by others. People aren’t as stupid as you and the Republican party seem to take them for.

I try to focus my comments on Republican Party leaders and RINOs. And if you’re going to continue to propagandize and not address problems with the party leadership with truth and candor, then I’ll continue to address you.

Private banks chase cash

(Crain’s) — The first of the Chicago area’s small banks that got bailout funds from the federal government are paying the money back.

But the news isn’t as good as it first appeared: The four small lenders that recently redeemed preferred shares they issued to the Treasury Department under the Troubled Asset Relief Program have effectively refinanced into a cheaper federal bailout program.

The four all are designated as community development financial institutions — institutions that lend to low-income or underserved communities or individuals — and have transferred their original TARP funds into a new, lower-interest program to provide federal assistance to CDFIs.
