It did not when I grew up in Lincoln in the 50s, 60s and 70s. Now it does. The guy lived not far, blocks, from where my wife lived as a student before we were married.
There is an Islamic center about a block from where my cousin lives or lived (not sure if he lives there now or not, for many years his nephew lived in the house) My mom still lives there. My brother and his two kids live in Lincoln, but in a newer area.
At least he had the decency to off himself, and save the taxpayers a lot of expense. Too bad the guy who shot and killed 14 about two miles from my house near Ft. Hood, back in November didn't do the same, or that the police officer who shot him didn't manage to kill him he needed killing bad) rather than just paralyzing him.
But why couldn't he have offed himself before shooting that poor woman 11 times? At least she is expected to live, and the other two he shot were treated and released.
