Jon Stewart has good ratings for cable, almost as good as Beck’s. But fewer people are willing to travel long distances to participate in a weak metajoke that most media types would imagine.
The organizers are not moderates. It is an attempt by the left to portray themselves as such—the voice of reason. It’s about getting those independent voters for the election, doncha know....
To begin with: “Glenn Becks’ Rally” was not about Glenn Beck.
I’m gonna be there for Jon Stewart. I have my doubts about all the stories that repeat the saw that everyone under the age of fifty watches “The Daily Show” to get their news.
His sole demographic is snotty college kids.
But I intend to be there to find out. Wonder what kind of lenses the news channels will be using to film it with...
I’ve heard there is alot of networking amongst the college set about attending the rally. I hope there will be enough adult supervision on hand....

I know, I should have used quotation marks. The rally idea is laughable because the Left isn’t geared towards supporting the establishment, such an idea is anathema to them. Very few are going to show up and the ones that do will likely be paid, or, they will get a top rock band to give a free concert. It won’t bring Beck down an iota, and will likely make Stewart out to be even more ridiculous.

Both. You'd think "Restoring Honor" would be something everyone would/could get behind. By making fun of Beck,on this issue, they make fools of themselves.
If I had to guess, I’d say his demographic is “predominantly white.”
It's an attempt by the left to caste the Tea Party movement and those like Glenn Beck and Sarah Palin as a bunch of goof balls. The independents are leaving the left in droves, because they fundamentally agree with the basic tenets of the Tea Party movement.
It's no different than the media mocking Tea Partiers with derogatory names. They're only doing this because they fear the Tea Party movement.
LOL! Can’t wait till Behar reports on the post-rally and all 10 cajillion million people that showed up from countries as far away as Delaware — as opposed to Beck’s audience of 500. Yep, that should take Beck down...how many notches was that again?
I hope all the DADT types turn the rally into Gay Pride Extravaganza.
The fact they are doing a Copy Beck rally proves the power of the Tea Party and Beck.

The “Jon Stewart’s Big Government and Raise My Taxes” rally. I’m sure it will be a hit.
I would be willing to bet majority of college kids who attend will be ones going to school in close driving range to D.C. Cause they aren’t gonna pay for hotels so it will be day trip distance.
