Special thanks to user mnehring for pointing me in the direction of this video; an interview all Freepers would enjoy watching. I've already sent it to all my Liberal friends.

Brilliant interview on youtube

Under 30, but older and more experienced in the ways of conservativism than I’d like to admit. ;)

"If you put the federal government in charge of the Sahara Desert, in 5 years there'd be a shortage of sand."

This quote is one of my favorites from him. Have enjoyed his writings and books since college back in the late 60's and 70's. His book, with his wife Rose, 'Free to Choose' was great, I re-read it every year or so. His appearance on TV shows and such brought economics and clear thinking to anyone that would listen. Enjoyed him taking Phil Donahue apart, revisit that on You Tube every so often. One of my favorites and will always continue to be. Thanks for posting.

Friedman is one of those names on the short list for me. I wouldn’t call him a “hero” ... I’m partial to Buckley and Reagan for that title. But, he’s close.

This wonderful man made me a conservative in the 70’s. Much to the delight of my parents.

Milton Friedman is one of the greatest thinkers and men who have ever lived. My understanding of the world and intellectual framework were immensely helped by his writings during my teenage years. I always felt fortunate to live in a civilization that could produce a mind like his.
