Dole for O'Donnell
politico.com ^ | Sept. 24, 2010 | Ben Smith

An endorsement from a symbol of bygone centrist Republicanism, Bob Dole:

Christine O’Donnell’s message resonated with the voters, and to the surprise of many she defeated Congressman Mike Castle, who many of us thought would win. The primary is over and in my opinion it is time for voters to join hands and support Christine O’Donnell. The Delaware seat is important and the winner in November could well determine whether Republicans or Democrats control the Senate.

I find many of the attacks on O’Donnell to be personal and lacking in balance and fairness. If her campaign wishes I am willing to assist in a limited way since I am still a patient at Walter Reed Army Medical Center. I will have surgery Monday, September 27.

nonsense...he's as good as they get....we toss around the word "rino" and it means absolutely nothing ....I mean between Dole and Bloomberg and Castle and Murkowski there is LOTS of difference...

I wish we people would leave good feeling threads alone.....

“It is the Viagra talking.”

Stuff it.

Mr. Dole did more in service to America during one day in Italy in World War II than you’ve done in your entire useless and non-descript life.

If you can’t welcome another patriot to our cause, at least keep your fat mouth shut.

"..Reagan worst mistake was making Bush his V.P... he cut the revolution short.."

oh yes....I watched that convention carefully and Bush came out of nowhere.....I never figured out why RR would let that nincompoop Bush in, and IIRC, Bush was a nasty candidate during the primaries...

some sort of inside power play that forced RR's hand IMO...

I wouldn’t say that to you simply because we disagree on a political candidate.

One of us?

He was a war hero served his country.

He paid his dues, he was a better Majority leader then most.

Are you all of one mind here?

Talk about lock step.

Wow.

I thought Bob Dole was killed by Gore's chauffeur in the 90's, or a Viagra overdose or something.

Pretty pathetic that he's now one of the most conservative voices in DC.

I don't understand your comment.

By 'one of us' I'm referring to the current political movement as represented by O'Donnell and candidates like her.

What are you referring to?
