RE: Why is Dole in the hospital?
The news did not say what Bob Dole was in hospital for.
We have to remember that the man is 87 years old.
In 2009, he was hospitalized for an elevated heart rate and sores on his leg for which he underwent a successful skin graft procedure. In February 2010, he was hospitalized for pneumonia after undergoing knee surgery. People grow old and grow sickly.

I am sorry to hear Dole is in the hospital, the article is not about him but about him endorsing O’Donnell, but it seems rather heroic of him to endorse her from what may be his death bed.
I hope not. Yeah, my best wishes for him too.
