Is Meet the Press doing a full court press against Governor Christie? Or what’s up with that?

We are about to start fall in Florida, by the end of the week we should have lows below 70 degrees.

MTP - Mike Pence vs Chris Van Hollen

Van Hollen says the current House WILL vote on the Tax cuts, whether it’s before or after the elections. Claims the Repub’s are holding American taxpayers hostage trying to get the tax “breaks” for the wealthiest.

Pence - Congress should have no higher priority than extending these tax cuts. Says this Congress is putting politics before prosperity. Higher taxes on job creators won’t creat jobs. It would be unconscionable to not pass this now.

6,690,000 + 6,403,000 = 13,093,000

That a 13,093,000 job difference, a Republican record they can be proud of, while Democrats and the media wish to deny the truth. Folks are paying more attention to what Congress is doing, too bad they had to allow Democrats to hold majorities.
Democrats con right, legislate left.

Your last suggestion was really funny but maybe she should be a little more dignified, as she was so beautifully on Sean’s show.

As she pointed out, it’s Delaware she has to worry about.

I so hope she wins. More and more since the ridiculous and vicious attacks.

Our local TEA Party was a little weak on picking out local level candidates, luckily, folks were smart enough to filter out some liberals on their own.

MTP, Van Hollen says we’ve had these “Bush” tax rates for the last 9 years and look where the economy and jobs are. HUH??? (This guy is an idiot.)

Pence asks if Van Hollen thinks these tax rates haven’t helped the economy in the last 9 years, does he seriously think raising taxes in January, 2010 will increase jobs?

Pence is never good on those shows. I have repeatedly tried to impress people about this. He is a wonderful man, a great speaker in formal situations, has a nice family, true conservative.

But he is TERRIBLE in interviews and is not quick with his replies. And he has no sense of humor.

I do not see him as a good candidate for the presidency. He would be a good Speaker of the House.

The dem voter most likely will not vote republican. That said, they won’t be voting dem either which is good news for us.

O knows that the base is disgusted with him. Exhausted as the CNBC black voter whined.

Thanks AB much appreciated.

Just watched mtp here in Key West today. NBC is trying to out-slick everyone by ignoring the real issue which is the regime is literally falling apart!

So what does NBC do? Cover the sinking of the mini Titanic obama ship??Hardly.

They ignore it.

Slicko--since they won't say anything bad about the regime before the elections (next week no MTP all sports all the time, what a coincidence!) they ignore what is going on.Everyone is leaving the sinking ship, their numbers are plummeting, loyal voters rejecting zero, and on and on it goes.,But not at NBC. They just ignore it. Very slick.

so they do an "education" hour which backfires on them since they discovered the teacher unions are suing like mad in Detroit and everywhere that true reform is tried.

Michelle Rhee asks the union rep why they have to sue all the time and all the union rep knows to say(more or less) is we need more money and it's never our fault.

Chris has to remind Steny what his (Chris’s) name is

The arrogant Wallace, no one cares what your name is, or only to the extent FOXNews gets rid of you and hires some intelligence like a Mark Steyn to interview on Sundays, Charlie...

Well stated and nice analysis.

Nothing scarier to the RATs than an outspoken, articulate, conservative woman...especially as a candidate.

Thanks Bray

GO CHRISTINE!

In a sense O'Donnell has all ready won.

A number of squish Republican Senators. Orin Hatch, Olympia Snowe etc are busy trying to mend their ties to their state political base due to the defeat of Mike Castle. They will inevitably be forced to move to the right politically in the new Congress.

The defeat of Castle is ringing alarm bells through out the GOP Establishment and forcing RINOS to move right. So the O'Donnell campaign is all ready paying dividends for the Conservative movement.

Maybe I’ll tape FNS and fast forward to the panel.

I can’t stand Chris. He gives FNN an undeserved reputation for being liberal. Most of their programming is great, fair and balanced. I love Megyn Kelly’s program, usually watch it. She’s great.

I still love FNN and wish people around here would not diss it because they follow their slogan and give liberals an opportunity to state their case.

I’m watching FNS now. Are you?
I thought Kevin MCarthy and John Boehner did all right.
Now it’s Hoyer’s turn. After reading the comments here, I might not bother to watch...lol.

As is my wont....I announce now the TALKING POINT OF THE SUNDAY TALK SHOWS 9/25/10...::::drumroll:::

The stimulus bill stopped unemployment from reaching....TADA...S I X T E E N P E R C E N T!

The White House has sent out its talking points as I’ve heard this percent on TWO shows...one from Juan Williams and one from MTP’s Gregory.

Why 16%?

If you’re going to pick some number out of the air where the unemployment rate WOULD HAVE BEEN were it not for the stimulus....why not 27%? Why not...heh, do it up real grand...43%?

Just a pick a percent out of the air...preferably under 100% never mind Axelrod’s suggestion that the talking heads go out and shout that without benefit of that Obama robbery of the treasury called stimulus, unemployment percent would have been at 115%, with everyone in America without a job and our unemployment extending INTO CANADA!!!

“I’m sure some of this is wishful thinking in some districts but there does seem to be a general attitude that the Democrats have failed and voters want something better.”

I think that’s true and many Americans are truly afraid of the direction our wonderful country is taking towards Socialism.

Dims and unions are fearful that the Dims won’t turn out - they’re planning a big Rally in DC next Saturnday (Code Pink and Communist Party USA & International ANSWER will also be participating):

Excerpt:
Left-wing groups plan giant rally on Mall; will ‘re-commit to change’
The goal of “recommitment to change” suggests that liberal leaders are fully aware they have lost momentum in the 20 months of the Obama administration. AFL-CIO chief Richard Trumka says One Nation will “demand a renewed focus and investment in people.” Benjamin Jealous, head of the NAACP, says the march will show that “this nation will rise again toward the mountaintop.” Renewed focus and rise again are not phrases that such organizations use when they are winning.

Attendance at the march will likely be viewed as a test of liberal organizing strength at a time when polls show Democratic base voters are far less enthusiastic about the upcoming election than their Republican counterparts. In particular, it seems likely the press will compare turnout to that of the “Restoring Honor” rally staged by Fox News personality Glenn Beck at the Lincoln Memorial August 28. (The One Nation march was already in the planning stages when the Beck march was held.) One big difference will be that the Beck rally was self-consciously non-political, while the One Nation rally will be frankly partisan. “It’s time to stand up and march for the change we voted for,” say organizers.

Why is the FR ‘clock’ 7 or 8 minutes fast today? Comments on a live thread really need to have a coordinated clock, in case readers want to check a particular show comment later in the day, when the some of the shows are rerun.

Hillbuzz has a wonderful letter posted from a Paladino supporter in New York State. I recommend going there to read it.

I do want to call attention to a phrase the writer used, though: The Parasite Party. If that isn’t the best description of all leftists and the eltisit GOP people, I do not know what is.

The Parasite Party. Excellent description!

Thanks for the heads up! I’m excited to see Brit get more passionate about this. I hope his passion spreads to the other panelists. Maybe Wallace will wake up a bit too.

(Yeah, hope springs eternal.)
