Yeah. Why would anyone in their right mind elect a guy whose basic desire is to destroy the place?

The author clearly indicates Obama is not motivated by racial issues. Instead, Obama is motivated by his anti colonial views. For example:
Page 47 regarding the oil spill response Obama gave...Time and again he condemned "British Petroleum" - an interesting term since the company long ago changed its name to BP. Given our anti-colonial theory, it's no surprise that Obama wanted to remind Americans of what BP used to stand for.

Sheepishly, my bad. I had never read his works before. That completely incorrect first thought popped in my head for a second as I read the Chapter titles. After reading the back, and skimming through several chapters, I realized how incorrect that first thought was.
Way more than a notch. Perhaps almost to the bottom, there is no way a serious crash is to be avoided now.

It is the sin of envy that wants to take away the purchasing power that came from hard work. It is that purchasing power that generates new wealth and new jobs. These Yahoos are like the idiot sawing away the limb they are standing on.
The author is a conservative, but only liberals see that as a cover for racism.
In addition, he is an immigrant from India. While not African in origin, his skin color and looks set him apart from so-called White America, so he would be least likely to side with racism. You say you hadn’t read him before. Did you know anything at all about him?
It troubles me that this conservative, dark-skinned immigrant would be initially suspected of a race angle...unless, you didn’t know any of this when you suspected him.
Yes, but I think it's worse than that. They don't care if they fall after sawing off the limb, just as long as you and I do too. Make no mistake, there are quite a few on the left who are motivated by retribution. Obama is one of them. Sadly, they want retribution for sins that we didn't commit and for which they didn't personally suffer.
It should not trouble you. I did not know of the author prior to this morning. Never heard of him. Never read his works. I happen to see this book this morning at local bookstore and picked it up. Glad I did.

I don’t want to think about that, it sounds utterly disgusting. It could explain a few things about the disaster currently occupying the white house.
You cannot accomplish what you cannot conceptualize, you must first do it mentally and then do it physically. If I start out to build something I first construct it in my mind and then do the actual building. My last project was a large overhead arbor for my grape vines. I built it in my mind and then modified it until it looked the way I wanted before I picked up the first post. Nearly thirty years ago I started a business the same way, I visualized the whole thing until when I actually did it it was like acting a part that had been well rehearsed. That business supported my needs for twenty years. I have done other projects the same way. This is what “dreaming” means to me, to create something mentally and then either turn it into reality or conclude that it wasn’t such a good idea and save yourself a lot of heartache and expense, apparently to you it means idle daydreaming with no intention of doing anything except escape into a fantasy world.
By the way, the total absence of a fantasy life in an adult is a sign of severe mental problems.

Unfortunately, you are right, it is a terrible feeling to want to be wrong when you know you are right. Some people avoid it by simply refusing to see what they don’t want to see. That is how they become Obama supporters.

If you mean simply people who refuse to see the reality in front of their faces, yes I agree. There are people who still insist that the current unpleasantness is simply a recession that will soon be only a bad memory and we will once again have plenty of good paying jobs that will be available to all those who have a sheepskin on the wall but only a sixth grade education between their ears. They are living in a dream twenty four hours a day.
