How Bill Clinton Got His Sweet, Sweet Revenge on John Edwards
Gawker ^ | September 27, 2010 | Staff

Bill Clinton is pretty content nowadays. He's rich, his initiative is soaring, the White House needs him. This is happiness. But never underestimate his love for acting on ancient grudges, as he did with sex pariah John Edwards in 2008.

In a lengthy profile of Clinton and how his life is perfect now, Politico slips in this nugget about how Clinton, via his longtime personal aide Doug Band, reacted to John Edwards' sad plea for support following the outing of his affair with Rielle Hunter in 2008:

In 2008, John Edwards called, seeking a statement of support from Clinton when his affair with Rielle Hunter exploded publicly. A loyalist with a long memory, Band sent back word, asking whether Edwards recalled his own denunciation of Clinton during the Monica Lewinsky controversy.

John Edwards is so dumb that he probably didn't even remember that. But anyway.

Just remember, famous people from the '90s: Bill Clinton may be happy and rich, but he also has a kill list with names written in dragon blood hanging in his underground Chappaqua bunker, where all day he plots revenge and watches TV and stuff.

I’ll bet Obama’s name is written about 10 times on the top of the list...2012 will interesting.....

Obama basically stole the 2008 election from Hillary, Obama knows it, the Clinton's know it, the media knows it

I'm sure as the sun will rise tomorrow the Clinton's have already set the pieces up on the political chessboard to cut this usurper off at he knees or worse if he plans to run in 2012 and push the Clinton's off the running.

It would not surprise me at all if Bill Clinton himself runs in 2012

It would not surprise me if Obama would up being indicted sometime after 2012 for crimes against the country for cutting deals with our enemies setup while Hillary was SOS as payback

Revenge is a dish best served cold. The Clinton's are cold SOB when it comes to politics.

The Rhodes is just another political act based on a political promotion bias.

You get the academic credentials by going to a liberal institution; making your liberal preference clear to the guys giving the grades in exchange for their support getting you the credentials.

Then you apply for the Rhodes to a Liberal panel with a strong Liberal direction. That's how you do this act.

In Bill Clinton's case, his Liberal credentials are particularly impressive. One of the requirements for the Rhodes is athletic capability and performance. Bill's athletic capability and performance are not part of the formal record.

Photoshopped! Naw, just kidding. :-) . Great myths die hard at least for me in this case.

Okay, well at least one aspect of what I stated is true about Clinton's lack of dignity in the Oval President.

Well, the joke is that Hillary was extraordinarily downtrodden by the revelation of Bill's infidelity and so got Bill to make it up to her by cohabiting as man and wife after, oh, a decade or two. So after they were done Bill asks Hillary, "So how (fantastic) was I"?
Hillary:Close, but no cigar!

He is the best politician I've seen in terms of the process of getting elected,

You mean, as far as raising those huge garbage bags of cash courtesy of the Chinese? (/ sar >

Probably not if some of the stories told about LBJ are true.

Any “payback” is from Hillary, not Bill, for undermining her 2008 election bid.

But actually, there’s way more going on than has-beens like Edwards or the Clintons - way, way more.

The Tea Party ain’t just a river in Egypt.

I saw a news clip of WillieJeff leading the charge in an election rally (Connecticut?) with disparaging comments on the Wrestling Candidate and the Witch Candidate in Delaware. I was yelling at the TV “What about the meaning of is? What about the blue dress and the wagging finger at the podium?” Just like the disappearance of 09/11’s falling victims, our MSM has rescued Clinton to help save their Libercrat pals. What a savior of the Dems, my mind shudders!

It’s indeed a marvel that Clinton himself is not a “sex pariah”.

It may have been George W. Bush that didn’t remove his jacket; but I don’t really remember. The stuff Clinton did in that office was outlandishly disrespectful.

lol. That's cute. The point is that when you referred to Bill as master politician you didn't mean it as a compliment. .:-)

Bill didn’t need a TOTUS...except to keep him on topic and under 2 hours.

Taking care of a few, last minute, Good-for-the-USA initiatives, before heading off to the ranch for a little getaway; a bit of hard work and some time with real people.

A rare commodity in DC, I’ll wager!

Good on’im.

"It would not surprise me at all if Bill Clinton himself runs in 2012"

There are two people barred from running for President by the 22nd Amendment to the Constitution -- George W Bush and William J Clinton. It's impossible to hide the fact those two men have already won two elections to the office.

Clinton may have been the first to remove his pants in the Oval Office.

Doubtful. Do some reading on the proclivities of JFK. Don't know if he did anyone in the Oval Office but of all the reading I've done on him he doesn't strike me as someone who thought much further beyond his penis.

“Oh, by the way, I want to state for the record that while President Reagan never removed his jacket when in the Oval Office out of utter deference,

Myth.”

Where’s his jacket and how can you be sure that he REMOVED it when in the oval office. It looks to me like he didn’t have a jacket with him that day.

I’ll bet more than one president has “done it” in the oval office.

“Clinton actually is very smart. Loaded with character flaws, but smart. Obama is an empty suit by comparison.”

Very accurate.
